This property was so close to transport (bus over road to Knossos) and a minute to bus station for other Crete cities. Close walk to old town, etc.
You'll appreciate the restaurants during your time in Nea Alikarnassos and you might want to plan a stop by Heraklion Port and Heraklion Archaeological Museum while you're in the area.

If you get a chance, visit the traditional restaurant, Peskesi. What amazing food - organic and delicious! We loved the olive oil tasting and the different interpretation of traditional dishes - YUM! And the staff were fantastic.
Parking was very difficult
Nice area, reasonable pricing, many people spoke English
Only spent less than 2 days so wasn’t able to see many of the attractions, I would stay longer if I was to go again
Awesome city to visit. Need at least 4 days their to enjoy the city.
