“Must stay”

Everyone on staff was wonderful from the minute we set foot in the door, at 10am. Breakfast was offered, although we were not booked in until that night, our names were remembered throughout our stay, and cheerfulness was the spirit of the hotel. Unfortunately we were only staying the one night.

“The best hotel on our trip”

We were delilghted with this hotel, great value, hair dryer and computer in good sized room, lots of hot water, excellent breakfast. Fantastic, welcoming and helpful staff who were good at recommending trips and local restuarants -nothing was too much trouble. Would happily stay here again.

“Friendly service, great location”

Stayed for a week and it was a great location to base ourselves. The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked our Halong Bay tour through reception and it was good value and a good choice of tour company for a family unit. We felt very comfortable for the duration of our stay and would definitely return.

Hanoi charming 2, is a fantastic hotel we were so impressed by it they treat you like real friends and can not do enough for you nothing is a problem, the rooms are clean and we had no problem with the wi fi in our room, you also get a comp in your room as well, plenty of tea and coffe in your room as well as free fruit and bottle of wine , fresh towels if you need more, the brekfast was great, plenty to choose from and again they will coook noodle soup if you want, booking tours or getting you tickets to water puppet theatre was also done for us and not at a ridiculous price either, we were a family of 4, 2 children, 12 & 15, they were so accomadating, could not recommend them more highly, Lana is a real dynamo and so is Rose, they take a genuine concern in you having a great time in Hanoi.We were there over 3 seperate nights in Sept 2011 and each time we returned they treated us like old friends, all the staff working would come and greet us on our return, they even picked us up at 4-30 am from train station after Sapa trip and allowed us to have our room from then and at no extra cost, also looking after us by paying for taxis for us and not charging exrta on top, they also got us tickets to a sold out water puppet show, 2 nd row seats, amazing, Again highly recomend these guys, if you are pleasant they will not let you down. “Friendliest Hotel Ever”

The Charming 2 is a small hotel that lives up to it's name. We had initially booked our hotel for 10 days but only ended up staying 5 due to altered travel plans. Lana, Rose and all the staff were welcoming, funny and had most hospitable. The room, although on the small side, was clean and the bed firm but comfy. The bathroom was a good size and also very clean. Breakfast (which is included), although not the vast arrange found in large hotels, was delicious and changed daily. The pho was great! Location was good, in the Old Quarter, and not too far from the lake.. transport is everywhere anyway and the hotel staff are only too happy to help with this. I have stayed in many large hotels in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Hong Kong, most have been more glamorous, but none have matched the Charming 2 for character and friendliness..I will be back and am now hooked on the smaller hotel.

“OMG OMG OMG”

WOW we were rushed off our feet with the staff falling over themselves with friendliness and service. We can not fault them in any way for this it was better than excellent plus plus plus. We left for a short while to go on a tour. and on our return we were treated like long lost family.We even brought extra fellow travellers that we met on tour back with us as they did not want to return to their hotel as they had been unsatified - they were treated with wide open arms and experienced the same high quality service and friendliness. We really like the breakfast that is included in the price and our rooms are really clean and confortable. Can NOT find anything to complain about only very high praise. They arranged our tours for us and gave us a good selection of companies to choose from and were very knowledgable in this area. They stored our luggage for us while we were away and transfered it from our previous room to the new room very efficently with a big smile as usual. We were delighted with our stay here and will be sorry to leave.

“excellent service”

we booked this hotel for three nights, but had to arrive one night early. they were fully booked but arranged a driver to collect us from airport and take us to their other hotel, which was also lovely, then next day transferred us back to their hotel where they upgraded us to a suite. organised a tour for us which we were extremely happy with. all staff were very friendly and spoke good english, they couldn't do enough to help us. we thought it was very good value. the breakfast was also very nice. we would stay here again.

“Great find in Hanoi”

Fabulous staff and great hotel. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is very conveniently located, close to everything, we were able to walk to most tourist attractions in the Old Quarter.

“AWESOME IN HANOI”

The Hotel Charming is great little hotel in the Old Quarter. The rooms are small but still very comfortable. The staff is fantastic, Sophie, Rose and Oanh are quite simply put, CHARMING, they are fun and vibrant. The Old Quarter is tight and busy and walking around is an experience in agility. This is a great place to stay.
