The Westin Nova Scotian originally opened in 1930 and has hosted royalty and dignitaries from around the world. Cornwallis Park is on one side of the hotel and Halifax Harbor, a docking point for cruise ships, is on the other.

“Close to all the action”

We were a group of 8 arriving VIA RAIL from Montreal. We stepped off the train and into the hotel. Our rooms were very nice, great breakfast at the “elements” restaurant. Centrally located near the waterfront.

“Superb Comfort”

The rooms are very clean and the king size bed is very comfortable. Room service is quick and friendly and the food is great. The pool is not the best but it's also clean.

“Great place. Would definitly stay there again. Front desk staff very pleasant.”

Hotel resturant prices high but Halifax offers so many great places to eat this was not an issue. Tim Hortons just around the corner. Easy pleasant walk to downtown . Felt comfortable walking back from Metore center at night.

“Excellent staff”

Young woman at the front desk was very nice and upgraded us to harbour view with an upgrade to a king bed without us inquiring. That's the kind of service we had last visit which keeps us coming back. They do it right at the Westin Halifax.

“Great Staff!”

Enjoyed our one week stay in Halifax staying at this hotel. It was a great location with all of the amenities. The staff was great and very helpful with recommendations for eating and places to explore. The only thing that could have been better is the bed - it had all of the nice bedding but the bed itself was not comfortable.
