Room for Improvement
We stayed 7 nights . Accommodation was clean but very basic. Julia on reception was very friendly and welcoming and helped us to take our luggage up 2 flights of stairs to our room. She also helped us to plan day trips out . The hostel is located very close to public transport. There are no tea and coffee facilities in your room but a kitchen downstairs to use. However, no milk provided so had to buy my own milk for my coffee. Lounge and outdoor areas are pleasant. Laundromat next door was great. Our bathroom seriously needs renovation and our tv in our room had no English channels so couldn’t watch it. Breakfast staff were pleasant but the breakfast lacked . Over the 7 mornings there was no new variety to the menu and no fruit offered at all. Some of the foods were stale and from the previous days . I would stay here again for 1-2 nights but not for longer than this.

Affordable and perfectly located
This was a great little base to explore the Northern Coast of Israel. Located in a lively and interesting part of Haifa. Surrounded by a myriad of bars and restaurants. The Port Inn is a great little hostel that offers clean and comfortable rooms at an affordable price. With free Shabbat parking close by there are few better budget places to stay if you want to explore the many other attractions that are only a short drive (or walk).

Very nice guest House
Nice guesthouse ,nice atmosphere and qualified staff, great localisation ,close to bus station about 5 min and to the Haifa gardens , very good breakfast !!! I highly recommend this place ,in the evening you can go to the garden have a rest ,or chat with other travelers ,is kitchen open till 10 pm with large fridge.

our family only stayed one night, the room was clean and we had our own bathroom, that was large and clean. the only thing you should know about the place, the beds ( we had three separate once) were soooooo narrow, i dont know the actual size but it felt like no more than 2 feet. staff was nice, and an Isreali breakfast great

We stayed in a private room which was nice but the bed was small. breakfast was very good. The major downside for us was expensive parking--50 NIS in a convenient lot next door but you can't come and go as this site says.

We stayed at Port Inn for a week while exploring the northen region of Israel. The hostel is in an excellent location, just minutes away from public transport. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room and the common facilities were clean and comfortable.

Great location
Very nice hotel in a great location for us, near train station. We used the room as our launch point to visit Safed, and Rosh Hanikra, both via train through Akko. And of course, it's in a great location to see Haifa, and eat in the German Colony. Owners and staff very friendly, great breakfasts included. You can't go wrong here if all you need is a great location and a clean place to spend the night!

Top notch hostrl
We stayed in an apartment across the street from the main building. As far as hostels go it was very good. Excellent location but at the moment the road work makes it difficult to drive to. It looks dumpy from the outside but once inside the lobby area it's quaint. Staff is friendly. 4 adults can fit in the apartment comfortably. There is a safe in the room and a key lovin the door and a key code to get into the building. The steps are long and would be difficult to get up for someone with knee problems. I would stay there again.

Quaint and Peaceful
This hotel is good value. After a long day of driving and finding a parking spot on the street (which wasn't too difficult when surrounding business started closing), I checked in and was greeted by very friendly staff who oriented me to the hotel amenities and gave me an overview of the Haifa's features. My room was very clean, comfortable, and nice (and had a balcony). The hotel is fairly close to the German Colony, which contains several nice restaurants and is situated at the base of the Baha'i Shrine and Gardens. The Port Inn contains several nice lounges, including one outdoors, and a computer room with an Internet connection. The breakfast was very good (and the staff was friendly). I thought this hotel was a great find.

This is a great place to stay- a really good central location, within easy reach of some good sights, restaurants, and bars, and with really helpful friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious, and the fact that this is one of the few places that still actually offers COMPUTERS as opposed to just Wi-Fi made it even better. The courtyard is a lovely place to hang out. Okay so there was no TV in the room but who cares...

Good choice for Haifa
Location within walking distance of the train station and subway was nice. You could also easily walk to the German Colony but its not right on that main road. Very helpful service to organize and advise with whatever transportation or activities you planned. All staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The room is clean and comfortable - hot water, comfortable bed, nice room with high ceilings. Access to the kitchen for self-catering was also a plus. I will definitely stay here next time, thanks for a great visit in Haifa!

Great place to stay in Haifa.
That was the best place we stayed in during our trip across Israel! It is located near the central train station (trains to Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Airport, Acre, and Nahariya) and a stop of metro bus that takes you to central bus station, town centre, and Haifa beaches (even on Shabbat). Our room was big and spacious, so was the bathroom. Everything was well maintained and cleaned on daily basis. The towels were replaced everyday too. The reception staff was very kind, extremely helpful, and spoke excellent English. They provided us with all the tourist information, practical information regarding the nearest area, and even arranged a taxi for us. The WiFi worked fine in all the guesthouse, the common areas were well maintained, and one could even use the laundry machine for additional fee. The breakfast (a buffet) was delicious, the range of food was enormous (several kinds of cheese, vegetables, olives, fish, even a home-made cake!), and the selection of hot drinks was impressive (tea, several types of coffee, hot chocolate). The ladies who served the breakfast were very kind and polite. We liked the place very much and we would definitely stay here again. This is definitely a place to be recommended!

Great place to stay in Haifa. Wonderful breakfast. Beautiful courtyard with lovely plants. The only negatives are: (a) difficult to find due to one way streets and bad traffic near the port area of Haifa, (b) the neighborhood on one side of the hotel becomes questionable after a block or so.

Highly recommended!
We loved the Port Inn and did not want to leave. We stayed in a family suite with lovely french doors in the Living and bedroom leading onto a beautiful balcony with birds singing happy songs each night. The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the staff is excellent. Breakfast was delicious, and it it close to everything in Northern Israel. If you come to Haifa, stay at the Port Inn!

Great place for groups
We stayed in one of the apartments and it was extremely clean and well kept. It had quick Wifi and good self catering facilities. 55 stairs to get to the apartment so if you aren't particularly fit you might want to ask for one on a lower story but the balcony was a great place to kick back with a beer in the evening so it depends on your priorities. Super helpful staff and owner made the experience excellent. Will stay here again the next time I'm in Haifa,
