"Nothing fancy here We stayed for Two nights breakfast included. Unfortunately the chef didn’t turn up on both mornings so no cooked breakfast just cornflakes and toast . Remote on tv didn’t work so we only had one channel available we informed staff but nothing happened .We got locked out our room twice had to get card key reactivated. I would not recommend this hotel unless you want a cheap overnight stay as they say you only get what you pay for."

"The first room was smelly. They switched me to another room which was ok. The tv was on HD and the picture kept breaking up. Wben you flushed the loo it kept flushing for 10 minutes. The bed was good and I had a good nights sleep. I could access the food area for breakfast without going outdoors."

"We stayed for 4 nights to use Carlisle as a base for the many train journeys possible from there. It did not disappoint. The hotel was excellent with good breakfasts and excellent evening meals . Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms large and clean, although haven’t had a Triton shower for many a year!!! Would thoroughly recommend this hotel"
