The owner is passionate about giving a fantastic experience during your stay and doesn't disappoint! From the guest houses rustic interior design to her masterful culinary skills, all are satisfying on so many levels. A real gem and one I wouldn't think twice about rebooking.

Boutique accommodation with great home made food. 2ndvisit
Great place to stay. This is our 2nd visit and as good if nit better than the first time. Jo the owner and chef is excellent. Delicious food. BYO so nice to drink a bottle of wine bought earlier from one of the hunter valley wineries by the log fire before and after dinner. We'll be back. Thank you Jo for your hospitality you are a great host.

We had a beautiful stay here! Jo is so lovely and accomodating. She treated us to a delicious dinner upon our late arrival, as well as three course breakfasts both mornings! The entire guesthouse is impeccably styled, from the common areas downstairs to the rooms. This is a perfect option if you’re visiting the Hunter but prefer your own space, away from the hustle and bustle. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you Jo xx

What a wonderful stay. Jo was wonderful and her cooking skills amazing. It was such a pleasant surprise with quality finishes and beautiful accommodation. Will be visiting again.

Lovely little rustic bed and breakfast. The hostess was amazing and super friendly. She’s a chef and made delicious breakfast too. We stayed there a whole weekend for a wedding and the hostess kindly borrowed an iron for my dress.

Fantastic stay
It was an absolute pleasure staying at the Table Guesthouse. Jo was a tremendous host and cook, providing a wonderful breakfast and the option for dinner which was sensational. Room was great as was the king size bed which was very comfortable. Great shower with plenty of pressure. Whilst there was an indoor area to wine and dine, the weather encouraged us to enjoy the outdoor Italian setting, just lovely. We also had our small dog join us and Jo was more than accommodating to make us and our dog feel comfortable. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

A Gem in the Hunter
This is one of the most beautiful little country houses in the hunter. Our host was wonderful and the little breakfast was super in the morning! A true little gem!

Excellent small guesthouse
We had an overnight stay on the way back to Sydney. Greta is a small quiet town now bypassed by the main road. An old cottage with modern facilities interesting furniture, very helpful host, good breakfast, excellent value for money. Easy walk to the Working Mens Club for dinner which was enjoyable or a few minutes drive to Branxton for more choice. Definitely worth the stop

Oooh la la what a lovely surprise staying at the French Provincial The Table Guesthouse recently. The facilities were great, room was clean (& cool since it was a hot 44 degree day!) & the host was lovely including the cute dogs & friendly cat. It suited our needs for a short night away & we also loved the recommended Royal Federal Hotel for dinner nearby. Thank you for having us, Gai-lee.

Booked this property for a last minute stay in the Hunter and it did not disappoint. Gai-Lee was absolutely wonderful, she left us to ourselves and made sure we were comfortable and looked after. The place itself very cute, clean and super comfy bed. Would definitely stay again.

The staff were lovely but the facilities were so unclean. The floor of our room as caked in dust and the whole place had an unclean feel. We woke up to music blaring, dogs barking and a vacuum running. Not ideal.

I am very disappointed you have left this bad review. I don’t normally respond but I think your review needs to be... Sorry you felt the Guest House was unclean and 8.30am isn’t a early time for people to be up and on the go. Due to coming back to the Guest House very late after a concert you attended and falling ill from food poisoning you explained you needed to leave after 11am due feeling unwell As well you needed to go home for personal reasons. After being knocked back for a nights refund you have responded with this review . I feel it’s uncalled for and it needs to be said why the real bad review has been put up. Regards Gai-lee

Lovely farmhouse atmosphere with a French touch. Simple but good breakfast. Light airy rooms with good bathrooms. Great locations a little away from the commercialised hunter centres yet a good base for vineyard visits. Lovely hostess

The owner, is lovely, the house old but quaint. We had plumbing problems on the first night but moved rooms to a lovely room for the second night. Yummie breakfast.

Cozy and inviting to say the least!
What a lovely stay! I was greeted by the friendly host and made to feel very welcome and comfortable. It was like a home away from home. The bedrooms were spacious and extremely inviting and comfortable. The ambience of the establishment is cozy and welcoming. The host gave me directions to get the loveliest of meals. I can’t wIt to go back here for a longer stay.

I'm regularly looking for nice clean simple accommodation when travelling for work. This guesthouse had everything - well appointed room, very comfortable bed, great shower, plenty of parking and all at a very reasonable price. If I'm ever in the area again I will have no hesitation staying here, my wife would love it.

Hunter Valley stop off
We enjoyed our 1 night here on a long road trip. This is a beautiful property with lots of wooden floors and beams. You’ll be joined by the family dog and cat (in case you have allergies). We didn’t mind. Close to vineyards but quiet and restful.

Brilliant ant and cheap place to stay
Great quirky place which was like home from home. The owner does not live on site but the house is immaculate and spotlessly clean Rooms were brilliant Bed comfortable Large bathroom with great shower Colour tv, fridge, hair dryer WiFi free if charge Breakfast included Thank you Gai-Lee

Thank You for your feed back John it was lovely having you guys stay. how ever I must correct you as I do infact live on site. Not full time thou as I also have a property that I offen stay at as well when the Guest House isnt full. also I supply a full continental and cookied Breakfast on weekends in the price, Monday to Friday it no charge for breakfast you just help yourself to cereal and tea/Coffee :)

Warm friendly greeting. Disappointed that the facility was so run down and dusty. The Courtyard was dirty and needs a good wash down ,the gardens need a tidy up as well. The room was at first glance O.K but also very dusty. Dusty to the point that you could write your name in the dust on the furniture. The T.V didn't work and there was mould on the shower floor. We got the impression that this had once been a lovely B&B that now needs some time and money spent on it. On a positive note the bed and linen were good. Whilst this might sound harsh it isn't meant to be. It is meant to bring to the owners attention that the facility needs some time spent giving it a good clean. Would I stay there again ? YES if it was cleaned up, the location and layout are good . As a caveat, we were there on a Tuesday night and the only guests, it may be different on a weekend. One thing for sure though is that dirt and dust like we experienced doesn't happen in a couple of days. It has built up over a period of time. Please give this facility the attention it deserves.

Cute, Cosy & Comfortable B&B
Gai-Lee, the owner, is exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. Very easy-going attitude and easy location to get to. Very nice Australian B&B experience. We had room 1 which was spacious, including the ensuite. Was a little warm & sticky the first night without the aircon on (only one main controller for the 3 bedrooms) but this was rectified the second night. Overall a wonderful introduction to the Hunter Valley and the hospitality of non-city folk.
