“Best Staff Ever”
Recently stayed at Sclossberghotel for 9 nights on Holiday. Hotel is very convenient as the Old town is a few minutes walk away. They do not serve Evening Meals ,but this is no problem as there are many good eateries within a few minutes walk and they are reasonably priced. Hotel is smart and clean and has interesting Artwork in the rooms and Public areas. The best part of the Hotel is the Staff. They are all cheerfull, helpfull and cannot do enough for you.They will go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant. Lovely place ,cant wait to go back.
“I would go back to Graz just to stay at this hotel!”
What a wonderful hotel; starting with the great friendly welcome, a great location, very clean, beautiful room. Be sure to check out the pool in back.
“Quiet luxury”
The Schlossberg hotel is a luxurious hotel at the edge of the busy center of Graz.It is between the funicular to the top of the Schlossberg and the lift and stairs to the same. The rooms have a comfortable antique feel while the bathrooms are modern and well appointed. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are heavenly. I have stayed in rooms in the front of the hotel overlooking the street to the river, and rooms looking back into the quiet garden. Both have their distinct attractions. The breakfast is comprehensive and quite simply excellent. The staff are excellent, too, and importantly for me they all speak excellent English.
“Fantastic hotel”
Great boutique hotel. The room was lovely, the bed and bedding was sooooooo comfy....like sleeping in a fluffy cloud! The bathroom was spacious, clean, with great decor. Loved the products, slippers and gown! Sat up at the pool, it was tiny but a perfect little spot overlooking the rooftops of Graz. The two occasions we went up to the pool no one else was there so we had it all to ourselves. Really loved this hotel, a little bit of luxury in the heart of Graz. Literally a 1 min walk to the schlossberg and 2 mins to the centre of town. Try frankfurters with senf, a roll and horseradish from one of the stands outside Hennes, the best in Graz! We will definately be back. PS. I got engaged in Austria so am writing this still on cloud 9!
“Wonderful experience”
The staff at the hotel were extremely cheerful and helpful from the moment we arrived. They gave special extra care to our two little Maltese dogs. The location is very convenient to the Graz Old Town and the Schlossberg Park which is right over the hotel. We loved it and will stay there again when we return to Graz.

“Best hotel in Graz!”
Best hotel in Graz. No question about it. Very comfortable, very friendly, very accomodating, and good price. I was travelling with my 6 year old daughter and we enjoyed it very much. I have relatives in Graz and usually stay in a hotel when visiting. It was my first time here, and from now on, I will always stay here. I cannot think of a single negative comment to make about this hotel. It was amazing. And the location is absolutely perfect. In the old city, right next to the tram that takes you up to the clock tower. In fact, if you go to the top floor of the hotel, it backs up against the mountain. There is a patio at roof level. And there are several levels going up, with small and intimate gardens with great views of the city. No one else can give such a great view of the city. Can you tell that I liked it? My daughter and I loved it. p.s. Some other people have mentioned this woman in their comments, and I will also give her credit. There is a young, blonde lady that works the front desk (we usually saw her in the afternoon/evening). She is the best. Words cannot describe how good she is. Such a great smile, so helpful, so attentive, so caring and concerned (about my daughter). All I can say is, "Wow!". Put her along with the great hotel, and I would give it 100/100.
“Sclossberg Hotel”
Excellent hotel would recommend to anyone. Very attractively restored and maintained old building with interesting paintings. Staff great and very helpful. Food excellent and central location in Graz.
“pleasant and very well situated”
The hotel is in a good shape, the terraces present a wonderful view over the city of graz and the service was discreet and friendly.
“4 Hotels in 10 Days...”
This hotel ticked a lot of the boxes. First impressions were good. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help.... Great location situated very close to the city centre. Breakfast was comprehensive although overpriced. We were a bit disappointed that the hotel pool was very small. The TV reception in room 6 was poor. Overall I'd give it 3.5 out of 5
