“Would not hesitate to return or recommend to friends”
I was extremely impressed with the hotel in particular the reception staff who were very friendly, helpful & attentive. Good location for getting around the city centre. Parking wasn' t cheap but appears to be comparative to other hotels & insure so secure. Would definitely book this hotel again based on my experience.
“cheap and very cheerful”
this hotel is in a reasonable location. easy to get to from airport (airport bus stops right outside)very clean and well presented accomodation. all staff except one were extrememly helpful the one was certainly not rude maybe just not too well informed. big and comfy beds !
“Excellent location”
Excellent location right in centre of Granada but only 1 mile from the Alhambre. Everything else is within walking distance. Friendly staff that speak English. Will go back great for the price!
“Very highly recommended for a City break”
The hotel is situated 10 min walk from the Cathedral, so is well located for getting to most of the city attractions on foot. The airport bus stops right outside it which is ideal. Although the hotel is well appointed and comfortable, the outstanding feature is the staff. They are all extremely friendly and very helpful, providing excellent advice and assistance when needed. This hotel has the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in away from home! The breakfast buffet table had a good choice of breads, cereals, pastries, meats/cheese and fruit in a comfortable dining area.
“I will stay here next time I go to Granada”
The hotel staff was excellent and very friendly. they went out of their way to help me find what I needed in the city. They can sign you up for an excellent tour of the City of the Alhambra The location was good for touring the city. I would recommend taking a bus from the airport to the downtown and pick up a taxi from there. I saved about 20 euros by doing this. The bus fare is 3 euros.
“Great location”
Great location, extremely helpful staff. Car park great advantage but note is located in the street directly behind the hotel and as such is easy to miss!
“Excellent bed for the night.”
Dauro I (there is also a Dauro II we did not visit) is a 5-7 minute walk from the centre of Granada and a 6 euro taxi fare (in 2009) from the Alhambra. Just 36 rooms in a refurbished building. This is NOT a full-service hotel. There is no restaurant, for example. But if all you want is an airconditioned bedroom for the night and somewhere to leave your car (extra charge) this is a superb place to stay. We used it as an overnight stop for an early start at the Alhambra next day, but intend to go back for longer next time.
“Granada - Dauro I hotel”
Dauro I is very conveniently located especially if you are arriving by air and taking the airport bus into town. One of the aiport bus stops is right across the street from the hotel and the stop going back to the airport is right in front of the hotel. There are 2 Dauro hotels and Dauro II is on Calle Navas which is not accessible by car so the distinction between the two is very important. There is also an El Corte Ingles with a supermarket that is very close to Dauro I making it convenient for standard purchases like bottles of water, fruits, snacks and wine. We requested a quiet room and they gave us a room in the back of the 2nd floor, which suited us. The room was clean, had the standard amenities (mini bar, hairdryer, small TV), and was very spacious, unlike some European hotels. There were numerous restaurants within a short walk, to choose from. Calle Navas is the street with all the Tapas bars that we frequented daily. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and could speak English. We were very satisfied with the service and would recommend it for anybody looking for a comfortable, clean, and convenient hotel. I would not classify it as a luxury or boutique hotel so will not be for those looking for luxury.
“A Pleasant Stay”
This hotel is very conviently located in the center of town. The accommodations were very nice: clean room, nice bath, quiet (even though on a busy street) and elevators (which are not always found in Europe). The staff spoke English and were helpful in setting us up with a Flamenco show. It was a bit pricey getting to airport (25 Euro) but everything else is well within walking distance. One note, there are two Dauro hotels, so know the address of this hotel. (The other one was Dauro North, I think).
“Made my holiday great!”
To begin, I loved the Dauro Hotel. The staff were friendly, the decor was lovely and the location was as perfect as you can get! Not to mention the ridiculously good price for such a well situated hotel! I took my mum and sister to this hotel and it was very family friendly. The triple room was really spacious with great air conditioning and even a mini bar, to at least cool your drinks if you didn't want to rack up a big bill! The bathroom was clean and pretty with enough towels and all your basic bathroom amenities available (i.e. soap, toothbrush, shampoo) although I still took my own! The number 3 or 33 bus from the bus station stops right opposite the hotel (give or take several yards) as I came from Malaga. Although I've been told the bus from the Granada airport stops directly in front of it as well. The Albaycin hills were were within walking distance if you have enough time and energy. It was extremely easy to get to the Alhambra, and the bus stop for that was a ten minute walk away (although definitely book your tickets for the Alhambra a month in advance as it took virtually 5-10 minutes to enter by doing this!) Overall great service and I felt really comfortable here, I would definitely come back! :D
