“would definitely choose again!!!”

Considering the Gold Coast is so full of apartments, it was a lovely change to stay in a hotel. The hotel location was excellent, very close to multiple restaurants/beach/shops etc. The service was effecient and professional. The hotel itself was clean and the room too. I always tend to look in the bathroom first to make my judgement and i was pleasantly surprised. If i was nit picking, the only flaw was that the bed was not as comfy as I would have liked it. Overall, happy to stay there again.

“Best Beds”

Very comfy bed and the pillow menu was a nice bonus. Very helpful and friendly staff. The beds were like sleeping on giant clouds. Food was of average standard for a 5 star establishment. Creme brulee was delicious but the top was not hard and it was cold. Paying for parking was a bit rude. But overall it was very nice.

“sofitel rocks”

The hotel buffet was fantastic.The kids loved the swimming pools and the location and access to public transport was great.The staff are super freindly and the room was always clean and well stocked.will definately return there again.

“Loved it !!!”

I would recommend the Softiel to anyone who is looking at staying in Broad beach in QLD Australia. The location is very convenient to shops, restaurants and the beach. The bed is unbelievable very comfortable, you have a choice of 5 different pillows. The room had the most amazing view, I could look out at the ocean and at night the lights of the city were beautiful. Special touches were a call to ensure everything was ok from hotel staff. Also a tea pot and coffee plunger was also available if you did not want to call room service. The service was friendly and the staff were efficient and happy to help you.

Area recommendations

Broad Beach has lots of great places to eat and with the beach a short walk away you don't need to leave the area. However the bus service is good if you want to go to the theme parks which are near by or the Hinterlands show the country side. The gold coast is only 15 mins away if you wish to visit.

“Handy, comfy and great service”

Probably the best service in this part of Gold Coast, great staff. The area, Broadbeach is much 'nicer' than up at Surfers, but close enough if you want to go up there. By 'nicer' I mean quieter, friendlier - better for older couples and families.

“20 minutes from everywhere”

We stayed for 3 nights and were very happy with the room/hotel. Room was airy with a little balcony, beds were soft and cushy. It was in a great location, literally 20 minutes from everywhere we wanted to go, like the theme parks. Restaurants, shops, the beach (eventhough the beaches were closed due to tsunami warnings), the monorail etc were literally at the front door. Very happy with the hotel, and at a really great price.

Getting around

Definitely recommend getting a hire car - the roads are easy to follow. We were there for 4 days and drove all over the place, including getting lost after taking a wrong turn, and we only used half a tank (Hyundai I30)

Dining

Found a great Chinese Restaurant - Zen at Jupiters Casino - voted best Chinese Restaurant in Australia. Great food, atmosphere and good prices.
