“Great value”

Although the room was small (par for the course), it was very clean and comfortable. Despite its location on a major street, this room (on the back side of the hotel) was exceptionally quiet. The location is excellent for arriving via train (station Brignole) but is a little further walk from the historical center than it may appear on a map. However, there are excellent food options within a five minute walk. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience and would recommend it highly.

“Very convenient location”

The hotel was very attractive, comfortable, very clean and a plus was that is was located across from the train station. The breakfast provided was wonderful as well as the staff attending. We would highly recommend a stay at the Golden Tulip when visiting Genoa.

“Loved-loved-loved this hotel!”

The hotel was beautiful! The staff was competent and sweet. Rooms were immaculate and HUGE. There were high ceilings and a gorgeous marble bathroom. The hotel was in a perfect location, next to the train station, around the corner from shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. It was perfect, we can't wait to go back!!!

“A touch of class in Genoa”

The Golden Tulip is a lovely hotel. My daughter loved the old school elevator. There were 3 of us in a room and we had plenty of space which was a surprise because rooms are not always that big in Europe. The continental breakfast was very good. The hotel is located near the train station and has a garage if you drive to it. Overall we liked the hotel very much.

“Perfect Location”

Nice hotel and very nicely located. Velobus from the airport drops you off across the street in the piazza. Trains and busses to about anywhere are located around the piazza and there are nice shops heading into the city center which is only 10 min walk to Piazza Ferrari and 15 to the aquarium. Staff can be helpful if you push them a bit, but otherwise they always seem to have something better to do. Room was a little small, but the bed was comfortable and the best shower I've had in a long time. Enjoyed the brakfast and it's nice to have until 10:30 to eat. Good variety and the scrambled eggs were pretty good (didn't like the bacon at all though). Best to get there earlier than later if you want the selection.

“convenient in Genoa”

Previous reviews of this hotel had noted the staff seemed indifferent. I found this for the most part to be true as well. I did encounter two employees that were very friendly and this was a welcome change. The hotel is very convenient to both the train station and the direct bus to the airport. The location is more local and very few restaurants were open in August.

“Great location”

The proximity of the hotel to the train station and the property itself were great. A friendlier staff would have made our stay outstanding all the way around.

“Nice hotel in a good location”

The location is excellent, the rooms are not massive but the bathrooms are recently renovated and very nice. Right next to Genova Brignole station which was very handy The breakfast was very nice as well. Overall very pricey for what you can get elsewhere in Europe but a good hotel

“Next to train station”

Nice hotel, friendly staff but room was very stuffy and Ac did not work. Either had to open window and listen to traffic noise or suffer with the heat. Hard to find as hotel is part of a grungy looking building with lots of graffiti.

“Nice hotel with great location”

Excellent location near Brignole Train Station and main bus terminal for airport bus shuttle. Only a 10 minutes walk to the center. Upgraded to a suite and was really worth it!
