A breathtaking villa
We had such a lovely stay here to celebrate my parents' 75th and 80th birthdays. The views are too beautiful for words--we didn't want to leave. The villa is beautifully decorated with the classic style of the coast. We felt like we were transported to a different place and time. Maria, our host, was incredible--excellent communication throughout the booking and stay. I should note that the villa does have three flights of stairs. These were challenging for my parents but doable with good lighting and railings, and even my parents with limited mobility agreed that the stairs were worth it! I plan on making this my "go to" place on the Amalfi coast--hope to return soon.

Beautiful View!
We loved everything about this house, the exception being the beds. As another reviewer described, they could be upgraded. We stayed three nights and were exhausted from lack of sleep. Maria was lovely, she provided fresh lemons, Prosecco, home made wine, and laundry soap! Kitchen was fully equipped and we were within minutes of two markets. Mind you, traffic’s was very, very bad between motor buses, local traffic, tourists, and motorcycles. The best way to tour Amalfi is from the sea with your own yacht, chef and bed…which I don’t own. Haha

Amazing property and an incredible host. We felt very welcome and comfortable during our stay. House is located within walking distance to a mini-mart and a restaurant. Located about a 20 minute drive to the town of Amalfi and about 30 to 45 minutes from Postiano by car. There is parking for 1 car onsite. Kitchen fully equipped to cook so you choose and the view is simply breath taking!!

BREATHTAKING VIEWS!
Our family had a wonderful stay at Villa II Mignale! The Hostess Maria was so sweet. Greeted us upon arrival, showed us around the beautiful property and gave us wine & homemade Limoncello. The house, property & views were stunning! The beds were OK. There are a lot of steps at the property, so pack light! We also didn't realize that much of Amalfi and the surrounding cities would be closed during the month of February, so make sure to review that before going. We also had to rent a car since the VRBO was a 30 minute drive from Amalfi. Overall, 5 stars! Thank you Maria!

Beautiful views and comfortable villa
We had a wonderful few days, first greeted by Maria upon our arrival. After Rome for 6 days, this was a perfect place to rest and recoop and enjoy the views from the villa and check out the towns along the Amalfi coast. Place was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. If coming back to the Amalfi coast, I would try to stay here again. If using the Il Magnali as a home-base, I would definitely recommend a car so as not to be captive to the bus schedule through Amalfi. We were so glad we had a car to come/go as we pleased. Lots of good restaurants close by in Furore, and close by in Amalfi and Positano.

We has a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Plenty of room and views to die for. A very nice kitchen which we utilized 2 of our 3 night stay. There are many stairs to keep in mind when entering the property. The beds were comfortable and 2 full bathrooms. The bus to take to Amalfi is very close. We truly enjoyed our stay.

This is the most stunning home I ever had the pleasure to stay in! EVERYTHING is perfect. Location, VIEWS, terrace, rooms, kitchen, bathrooms! Simply amazing! This was our first trip to Italy’s Amalfi Coast, and we wanted to secure a place that would allow us to appreciate it as much as possible. This was it!! We fell in love with the place when we saw the photos online. The booking process was smooth and effortless. Maria, our host, was kind and helpful from the beginning. She communicated effectively and promptly. She welcomed us with a warm and friendly smile. And even provided us with a binder with tips and recommendations for places to visit, restaurants and shops. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Grazie Maria. It was a pleasure to meet you. We can’t wait to return to your beautiful house!!

Sisters Trip September 24-30, 2023
This was a special vacation with my sister and my two daughters, Sisters Trip! Maria and her daughter were responsive and readily accessible to any questions and concerns. They gave information as needed and their hospitality was exceptional! The view from the Villa provides a beautiful view of the Gulf of Naples! The hand painted tile and decor gave us a beautiful glimpse of Italian design. Maria treated us to her homemade Limoncello upon our arrival and huge Amalfi coast lemons. It was delicious! They helped us plan our excursions to surrounding areas as well as a fun and delicious cooking class near the Villa. For travelers with mobility issues, there are several flights of stairs to navigate. This should be considered when planning a stay here. However, the views and quietness of the village made up for it! The bedrooms were nicely decorated, but the beds were a little less supportive than we preferred. Despite that - we had a fabulous time and would come back to Furore again. Lucas’s and Bacco were favorite restaurants that they recommended. Exceptional hospitality all around.

Paradise by the sea.
We loved the character of the villa. Location was perfect for us. Not a big tourist area but you definitely need a car. The host family are awesome, kind and down to earth. Nice get away from the huge crowds. We would love to come back soon.

Amazing Villa in Furore
A big thank you to Maria. We stayed at Villa Il Mignale for 4 nights and it was an amazing experience. It is a very good space for a group of 6 people. The villa is beautifully made and equipped with all the necessities. The hosts are very warm and had made sure to have all information available very easily and were very helpful. Placed in Furore, the SITA bus stop is just 50 m away and you can easily reach Amalfi in 20 - 25 mins. The villa is perched up on top of the hill allowing a beautiful view of the mesmerising Amladi coastline. It is done up very beautifully with a lovely garden and terrace. Our little one especially loved the lemon tree in the garden and would look forward every morning to collect the lemons fallen overnight from the tree. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We look forward to visiting again.

Amazing villa and wonderful hosts
Upon our arrival, we found a beautiful, spacious, well-appointed villa. The lovely views were accessible from every room and the views from the balconies were especially stunning. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook an amazing Italian meal and the table on the balcony was the perfect place to eat dinner overlooking the coast. But what made this stay exceptional were the hosts. Maria, Marianna and Luca were so friendly and helpful from the start of our inquiring about this property and throughout our stay. They helped arrange transportation and a boat excursion, they had extras for us when we arrived and even picked up some groceries for us on the night we arrived because we were getting in so late. The only thing we found a bit difficult was navigating the distances because of the area's topography. Be prepared to build in time for travel whether you choose public bus (there is a close bus stop), private driver or taxi. The bus is typically very crowded but we were always able to get the one we wanted at the time we wanted it. We would stay here again and we highly recommend this property for your Amalfi Coast stay!

Villa Il Mignale is beautiful, even better than the pictures. The views are incredible, of the oceans, the hills, the winding road below. The house is pristine. The upper deck is so great. We really did not want to leave at the end of our stay. The hosts are amazing, so responsive and helpful, answering all our questions and helping us with directions and booking activities. We thought it was wonderful to stay away from the crowds. We cooked many of our meals at the villa. We did take the taxi a couple times, be prepared it is expensive and you have to book in advance. We took the bus home from Positano once (Positano is a zoo), after hiking the Path of the Gods (amazing hike). Taking the bus wasn't great. We did rent a car in Naples and driving to the villa was totally fine. One day we did drive down to Amalfi. There was predictably no parking, so we went on to Minori and parking was easy. Highly recommend a stay at Villa Il Mignale.

Maria’s villa is just stunning! You cannot beat the gorgeous sweeping views of the ocean. There are beautiful grounds with several private areas, lemon trees, a rooftop deck, etc. The interior of the villa is filled with beautiful Italian charm. Furore is high above the chaos of Amalfi and Positano, but you are situated in the middle and can access many places via bus, ferry or taxi. Amalfi Coast is filled with beauty and great food and gelato. Maria was such an above and beyond hostess - so kind and helpful! She arranged restaurant reservations for us, driving excursions and a beach club day. So nice of her to help us get around and to have such an enjoyable stay. ❤️

We loved our stay! So charming and house was our favorite VRBO. The roof top and kitchen/living views were picturesque. Maria and her family were so gracious and the town was so nourishing and the energy was very peaceful. A must stay. Beautiful villa
As already stated, the photos don’t truly capture the beautiful views. I walked onto the terrace and it brought me to tears, it’s so beautiful. The interior is beautifully decorated and I felt right at home preparing meals in the beautiful kitchen overlooking the sea. Maria and her husband Luca are lovely and extremely accommodating hosts and were quick to respond to our many questions. The one thing that I would say is you need a car. We almost didn’t rent one and we would have been a bit stranded. We attempted to take the sita bus twice down to Amalfi and both times it was full and that’s it. Depending on the day, another bus may not come for an hour or 2. With that being said, driving a car is a bit harrowing. My husband, being used to NYC driving, did a fine job navigating but it took a bit getting used to the narrow winding road. With access to a car, we were able to go to Pompeii, Bomerano, Amalfi and other local hamlets. You really can’t easily walk anywhere. When we were able to get to our destinations , the views and the waking, were just spectacular. Oh….and omg the pastries!!!! Sooo good! Thanks so much Maria and Luca. Your home felt like our home. What a magical place!
Maria and her family are beyond amazing hosts. They went above and beyond for my family, day after day. Maria was an incredible communicator helping us with dinner reservations, getting cabs set up, and answering any and all questions I had. (She even helped us with coordinating our list luggage from the airlines, and made sure someone could be there for delivery) The closest store is not too far away, and there were many restaurant options to choose from, either to walk, get shuttled to/from or get delivery by. The near by winery, Marisa Cuomo, had a fabulous tour we set up and learned much from. Plus, there wine is super yummy! The villa itself had all we could need. The beds were comfortable, the showers had great pressure, and the kitchen was great to use, for eating at home. The whole place was very clean. We spent two weeks in this lovely home, and made wonderful memories there. The views were just as you see in the pictures, but don’t do it justice. I highly recommend others to stay and enjoy this magnificent area of the world.

We loved staying at this beautiful cliffside villa with huge balcony and amazing views right around the property. The hosts were amazing providing all the support we needed. Our kids loved all the space and the kitchen facilities were fantastic. There was a spot for the car and is in a great location for drives along the Amalfi coast and for walks in the area.

Maria and Marianna are fantastic hosts! They were so welcoming, helped find us a great guide for Pompeii, suggestions for places nearby to visit as well as searching for an open restaurant during off season for us. The Villa is stunning. Could look out at the blue sea and sky all day. Our family of 5 (3 adult children) had a lovely stay. Plenty of room and the Villa is very well equipped. Wow! This is an incredible villa. We have travelled all over the world and this is hands down the most beautiful place we have rented - inside and out. We met with owner Maria at check in. She walked us through to point out all the villa has to offer. You can see the pride in her eyes and hear it in her voice. All of the details that were put into this property are amazing...... the hand painted tiles throughout, woodwork, lighting and decorating aspects are everything you could want and more. The view is astounding. We chose this property because we like to be outside of the tourist areas, but close enough for a drive in. If this is what you are looking for, don't hesitate to book. Maria is very kind and gracious. She goes over and above what most hosts do. She kindly booked our driver to and from Naples Airport, transfers to and from Amalfi ferry for our day to Capri and she even helped us order take out since we do not speak Italian. I cannot give enough praise to Maria and the villa.

Beautiful property with stunning views on the cliffs of Amalfi!
Absolutely amazing view - just like the pictures! Maria and Marianna were such great hosts - made us feel right at home and helped with everything! Property is beautiful, so well constructed, comfortable, and views are spectacular. It is a little remote from town, but that was perfect for us - very quiet, and a a restaurant and winery within walking distance (cooking class was SO much fun!), a market also walkable (just lots of stairs!) It was easy to take taxis around, and only about 45 mins to Positano, 30mins to Amalfi city center, 1.5 hrs to Napoli. All around, a beautiful place - we can’t wait to come back again!!

Amazing house with even better views!!
The pictures don’t do the house justice - it’s even more amazing than the pictures! A parking spot is included which for our small suv — a huge win as this was hard to find in a property. Each bedroom had its own AC unit which was wonderful, and all doors opened wide to allow the fresh sea breeze in. Privacy was amazing — you have a terrace off the back that faces the sea, and the entire top of the house was an amazing private place to watch the sunrise/sunset. Maria and her daughter met us upon arrival and were amazing hosts. There was a huge book with restaurant recommendations and things to do along with her home made lemon cello as a welcome gift. Will definitely stay here again - exceeded my high expectations!!

Wonderful villa with the friendliest owners. Luca, Maria and Marianna could not of been nicer. The homemade wine, lemon cello and fresh tomatoes and lemons were all delicious. Without a car it is very difficult to get around but taxis made it possible. I highly recommend this villa if you are looking for a quieter vacation.

My husband wants to book for a month next time! So lovely! Marianna and family were a joy to rent from and the Villa was even better than the photos. With a Michelin restaurant and an amazing winery right next door, could you find a better place?! We chose not to rent a car, which made things tough at times, but we managed with buses, taxis, private drivers, and our feet. It’s such a crazy place to drive (we saw one bad accident and a pretty beat up young lady). A personal choice as to the driving bit I suppose. But, whether you drive or not, the Villa is a dream. Hard to imagine a more idyllic venue and nicer hosts.

This was our first trip to Italy. Maria, Marianna, and Luca couldn’t have been more welcoming and made our stay exceptional. The villa is even better than you can imagine! We loved the location being central to all Amalfi has to offer. The coast is spectacular. We would recommend a car, but know driving is an adventure! Amazing stay!
We had such a wonderful stay in this villa! I’ll start by saying that Maria and her mom Marianna (and Dad!) were the most wonderful hosts! The homemade wine, lemoncello, and preserves were all amazing and we’re so appreciated by all four of us. we asked tons of questions during our stay about different things and they were always very quick to respond and help us out. The views from the house could never get old, it is so beautiful and the property itself is very well-maintained with beautiful lemon trees, grapevines and other fruit trees. There is space for you to park a car if you have rented one – but we used a car service due to the issues with parking and we didn’t want to stress out about finding a parking space everywhere we went which actually worked out perfect for us. The town of Furore is away from the craziness and perfectly positioned right between Amalfi and Positano - probably about 20 minutes to each and a gorgeous drive- and has great local restaurants that we loved especially Luca’s and Sant Alfonso. Overall I would highly recommend this property for a very relaxing stay away from the busier nearby towns. We already miss waking up there and watching the sunrise over the mountains. Stunning Views!!
Villa Il Mignale We loved staying at beautiful Villa Il Mignale. We arrived to a warm welcome from Maria and Marianna, and were quickly provided with some lovely hospitality gifts and every kind of information we would need for a perfect week on the Amalfi coast. The apartment was spotless, and more beautiful than the pictures reveal. The views are spectacular and we loved having both the balconies & rooftop terrace to sit on and enjoy morning coffee and evening glasses of wine. The location was great for the things we wanted to do - close proximity for day trips to Pompeii (spectacular), Naples, and Caserta. We also enjoyed one of the most gorgeous hikes we’ve ever taken on ‘The Path of the Gods’ which starts nearby in Furore. Driving on the Amalfi coast can be challenging. Maria had good information about local bus transport to Amalfi and Positano, if you choose that option, which would be an easy alternative to driving. The property is beautiful, the beds very comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed, and everything provided made it a perfect place to stay for our week on the Amalfi. From start to finish my experience at the property was exceptional.
From start to finish my experience at the property was exceptional. Maria met us at the gate and was very gracious. I was blown away by the beauty of the villa. From the hand painted floor tiles to the beautiful views. I am absolutely looking forward to staying here on future trips. Thank you to Maria and Marianna for making our stay amazing.

if i could give this villa a higher rating i would have, even though the pics i saw beforehand were beautiful there was no comparison to what i experienced in reality, my only regret was not being able to stay longer

Stunning Villa and views
What a pleasure to have stayed in such beautiful surroundings. We had everything we needed. We highly recommend you rent a car or use taxis. You get your own private parking spot. Driving the roads of the Amalfi coast can be challenging but for us it was well worth it. We were greeted by Maria and Marianna who even helped us carry our luggage down the stairs. We were then given a thorough tour of the freshly cleaned Villa and were offered a basket filled with lemons, oranges, their own homemade limoncello and white wine. I cannot say enough about the absolutely spectacular views of the sea with the many outdoor seating options . If you need anything or have any concerns, Marianna responds immediately and Luca was at the Villa in less than 1/2 hour. What great service !! We highly recommend this spectacular Villa and want to thank the hosts for their wonderful welcome .
