“Better than Expected!”
We were pleased the room was so clean and well appointed. Thick, luxurious towels. It seemed like a brand-new hotel, or one that was very recently updated. The breakfasts we enjoyed both mornings were full breakfasts and different on both days. My husband commented, "they really know how to make biscuits and gravy--one of his favorites. We will continue to stay at Holiday Inn Express motels, if they are all like this one.
“Close to Ferndale”
Overall, I had no complaints about the hotel. It was close to Ferndale where I was going. It is located in a quiet area. I statyed one night with my sister and neice. I slept very well. The lobby was very nice and the breakfast buffet was good. I especially liked the coffe. They serve very good coffee.

Our stay was A+ rated. The room was extra large, the jacuzzi was great, the girl at the front desk the evening we checked in 6/24/11 (Amanda ?) was super fantastic, helpful and friendly. We reserved the jacuzzi suite (room 227) through Expedia, Although there was a patched crack in the ceiling, a small hole in the love seat and the wall paper needed a little paste, it didn't affect the overall ambiance of the room and hotel. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed staying there. We thought the breakfast was super scrumptious epecially the fresh pancakes and cinnamon rolls. We visit Fortuna several times a year to visit my father. We have stayed at most of the hotels in Fortuna in past visits. We will definately stay at the Holiday Inn Express again in our futrue visits!!!

“Great place to stay for exploring the redwoods”
I was very pleased with the Holiday Inn Express in Fortuna. Two women working the front desk were very pleasant and helpful, and they cheerfully answered several questions I had about the local area, weather, redwood trees and the redwood burl wall hanging behind the counter. They even recommended a place for dinner (which I went o but it was too crowded to stay). My room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The continental breakfast the next morning was more than I expected with scrambled eggs and bacon. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn, especially if you want to explore the redwood trees in Humbolt Redwood National Forest and along the Avenue of the Giants.

We enjoyed this hotel. The front hostess was very friendly, as well as all of the other hotel workers. We would recommend them. Fortuna is a nice rural area to start your Red Wood vacation. We would go back again!
“New hotels are the best!!”
I specifically chose this hotel when planning my trip from Seattle to Crater Lake because it was newer. I was very happy with the condition of my room, it was clean and modern. I appreciated the flat panel tv and the room had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was nice, with a good tub and shower. The continental breakfast was standard, nothing out of the ordinary, but the breakfast room was spacious.
