“Excellent”
We stayed at this hotel in March 2006, and found it to be an excellent value. On the second floor of a large building (with elevator) rooms were large, bright and exceptionally clean. Angela, the owner, is wonderful and helped us with tours, taxis and any information we needed. Only a short walk from the major sights, we would definitely return to this hotel.
“Away from the action”
Soggiorno Michelangelo was a very comfortable stay on a quiet street. Initially we thought the hotel was too far from the key sites in Florence, but the Academia and other sites were an easy walk from the hotel. The night life surrounding the hotel was very quiet with few pedestrians. My teenagers would have preferred a little more active action in the area, but I felt the hotel was a good stay.
“Feel at Home in Florence”
As it is not a traditional hotel you get your own key to come and go as you please. Breakfast is modest but Staff is helpful and friendly. Very clean and tidy.
“cute bed and breakfast”
this bed and breakfast place was cute. the full breakfast advertised was just infact a continental breakfast. the manager was available when needed, some language barrier. it is away from the busy city, bus stop is close by. liked the antique furniture in the breakfast area
“Hidden Gem in Florence”
My husband and I had a lovely time at the Soggiorno Michelangelo. Simple luxury is the best way to describe the experience of staying in this genuie Tuscan gem. Staff was incredibly friendly, room was extremely comfortable, spacious and bright. The hotel was located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, away from all the tourist madness yet only 10 min walking from all the attractions.
“Very satisfactory”
The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area of the city which gives a good insight into how ordinary Florentians live. Very friendly and helpful staff and everything you needed in the room. One drawback - very poor breakfast. Hot water in a thermos for powdered coffee and all food was prepackaged and factory-made. A bit of fresh bread and some real coffee would have made all the difference.
“Lovely friendly and welcoming”
This was a lovely friendly and welcoming place to stay. Oscar was on hand to help with anything you need, including recommending a lovely restaurant locally. A really easy 10 minute walk to the Duomo and other sites. Would definately go back.
“A good place to stay.”
The hotel was peaceful. The breakfasts were adequate. Oscar even provided homemade cakes on some of the days. The staff (Oscar) were very helpful. Near a supermarket, resturant, cafes and ice-cream shop.
“we will go back”
The hotel staff was friendly and the location was great we walk about 10 minutes to get to the center. the hotel was clean the only problem is that there was a strong smell coming out from the bathroom and we did not realize what it was. we keep the door close all the time. other than that it was a good hotel. It's a good location with cool stores. The strange smell in the bathroom was not an issue other than keeping the door close.
“just ok”
walls are thin. Not very private.Breakfast very poor, although owner very helpful and convenient to the major sights.
