“Flawless Stay in Florence”

This was really one of the favorites of our two week stay in Europe. Located in the middle of everything, we were a comfortable 5 minute walk from everything we wanted to do and an $8 taxi from the train station. The room was lovely and exactly as requested. At night we opened the windows to the sounds of Florence revellers below. Check-in might weird some people out since you are essentially going into an unmanned location with about 6 rooms with only a key code and pick up a key laying out on the desk. That said, we had no problems. I had one question and we were immediately able to reach the manager and get an answer. Also the management was very coureous and accomodating about working with us on special requests. Although we did not see anyone at the B&B until the morning of our checkout, everything was very smooth--great internet--great bathroom, towels--comfortable bed--REALLY great espresso and cappachino from the machine every morning. We would definitely go back.

“Very good experience”

The hotel is very good. Well located, complete breakfast. Near from good restaurants and one block from bus and train stop. Staff is very helpfull.

“Terrific location, but you must love QUAINT”

The hotel is very new and up 3 floors in a very hard-to-find building, especially if you're driving. Our advice - DON'T! Take the train and a cab to get to this location. The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of virtually everything of note in Florence. You couldn't ask for a better location... There are just a few rooms in the hotel and the front desk is manned only from 9am - noon, although the manager is always reachable by phone. He was wonderfully helpful, giving us hints and even making calls for us. Because the hotel is new, the room was relatively spacious (by European standards) and we had a king bed (mattress too hard though). However, the bathroom was difficult to navigate for someone 6'3". It's small but would be OK except for the shower, which I measured at .75 square meter. I could just about turn around in it. But after all, they had to leave room for the bidet... If you are a large person and don't do QUAINT, this hotel would not work for you. Otherwise I'd highly recommend it, especially for the service and the location.
