“WHAT A GREAT LOCATION”

I WOULD STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN. THE LOCATION IS PERFECT FOR WHAT I LIKE TO DO IN FLORENCE. THE STAFF WERE ALL VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. IAN, THAT WORKED THE DESK AT NIGHT COULD NOT BE ANY MORE HELPFUL THAN HE WAS. I LIKED THAT THEY HAVE AN ELEVATOR WHICH MAKES IT SO MUCH EASIER. THEIR RECOMENDATIONS FOR RESTAURANTS WAS VERY GOOD. I WILL STAY THERE AGAIN. JAN

“Convenient and comfortable”

This small hotel in Via Faenza (a largely pedestrian street) is very conveniently located within 5-10 mins walk from the main train and bus stations and many of the most notable attractions of the city. The management was friendly and helpful, the room quiet and comfortable and the breakfast satisfactory. The hotel's 3-star grading seems appropriate and it is recommended as good value for people who do not travel on a luxury budget.

“Perfect location!”

Great hotel in the heart of old Florence. Completely convenient, comfortable and excellent staff. Would stay here again if visiting Florence!

“Good location, but hard to find”

This hotel is located in a pedestrian street, it is very close to the Duomo, but if you are in a car you need to park at the train station and walk to find the hotel. The station parking is quite expensive so plan ahead and stay somewhere with a garage.

“No English is spoken but great rooms/location”

No English is spoken by the front desk personnel. If that doesn't bother you it's a great place to stay because of the cost and location of the Hotel. The room was very clean but there were some maintenance issues with the shower (a panel was missing for the shower door so it wouldn’t close all the way). They have a safe garage for guests but you are committed to the hours that they operate it. It is open from 0900-1900. The WiFi did not work during our visit, but they set up a computer for guests to use.

Convenient location to train station, but neighborhood is a litlle shady at night.

“not fair picture, won't go back”

the picture on the website are not realist...the double room is tiny, the bathroom too.the single room is of course smaller and there is no shower in the bathroom, you actually would have to move the toilet paper and close the toilet cover not to make everything wet. great location, great staff but the hotel condition are not so good, neither is the breakfast with canned fruit in summer time!!!

“good location . . . that's it”

The Hotel Rex staff were pleasant people, but the overall condition and service provision was weak. The rooms are small, dirty, not well equipped. We spent two separated nights there - and one side of the hotel (the front) faces a very noisy street. The promised internet access is limited. For one or two nights Hotel Rex is ok - the location is great - but if you're looking for strict comfort in the accommodations . . . look elsewhere.

“Will never go back.”

Pros: Hotel is clean, breakfast is good, convenient location in the center and close to train station. Cons: Rooms are very old and very small. Single beds are tiny. Shower head is right above the toilet. Restroom is so tiny that you feel like on a boat. Interior is dilapidated, TV is 13 inch and didn't work, Internet didn't work. Very loud Irish pub right across the road. I am not a light sleeper but could not fall to sleep until 2:30am. Spend extra $20 and get some rest somewhere else.

If you are looking for a clean and comfortable room avoid this place.
