“Hotel Olimpia - Makes Florence Vacation Perfect”

Hotel Olimpia is in the perfect location for anyone going to Florence to sightsee. We walked to the museum to see David, walked to the Uffizi, walked to the Duomo and all the other wonderful sights. There are yummy restaurants down in the courtyard next to the hotel plus lots of others in walking distance. The hotel staff was terrific. Everything was clean and well kept. Breakfast everyone morning was great - coffee was fabulous and the pastries were delicious. Our only complaint was that the shower was the bathroom. With two people that made things quite interesting for the second person. The staff was great and gave us extra towels and bath mats.

We loved our stay at the hotel . The room was a good size. Full breakfast in the morning. The staff very friendly. Very close from train station( about 12 min of walk) The hotel surrounded by designer shops, restaurants. Very close to all museum to the river. Good tip- all museums and snack shops for cash only. Before having a dinner, ask if the accept credit cards.

“Magic, excellent place”

It is little bit complicated to get there, but once you find it is a magic. Beautiful and very peaceful place.

“What a view!”

We wanted a hotel with a view of the Piazza Republicca and this was perfect. If we had got a different room we might have been disappointed as there were not many rooms with the front view.

“Great Location”

A typical Italian hotel rather than a "chain" hotel which could be in any city in the world. We had booked a triple room and it was a great size and had 2 single beds and a double. The bathroom was fine and we had no problems with the shower despite the comments on some reviews - very petty!! The location is great as it is situated in one of the main squares with easy walking distance to all the main attractions. The staff were very pleasant and would be happy to stay in this hotel again.

“In the Epicenter of Florence”

Excellent location, in a Piazza that is bustling with activity and good restuarants and within five minutes walk from all the major attractions of Florence.

Excellant location! In the center of the city, with everything in walking distance. Great and helpful staff. Great place to stay.

“Location is everything”

The location of this hotel cannot be beat. Short walk to the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio and all other central sites. Hotel was ok. Breakfast was just fine. Bathroom was amazingly small, even for Europe. The place you stood to use the sink, and the place your legs went while using the toilet- was the same as the shower area. There was a curtain that you pulled out when using the shower. We had a room not on the main piazza side, but on the street on the side. It was certainly lively at night, but it wasn't noisy enough to keep us awake.

“Great Location”

Hotel Olympia's location is great, and perhaps, its best asset. Located in the heart of Florence in the Piazza della Republica, Hotel Olympia is a few minutes walk from the Duomo, high-end shopping, and the train station. The accommodations are out-dated but clean. I would stay there again.

Even although this hotel was easy to find we weren't very sure where to go as the hotel is on the top two floors of the building. It wasn't until someone on another floor pointed us in the direction that we found it (there is a lift). The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and gave us a map when we arrived and pointed out sites of interest. The rooms are small but clean. The breakfast was basic, croissants, cereals, tea/coffee, fruit, etc. This hotel had the best location - all the major sites were five minutes or less away and we didn't have far to travel see what Florence had to offer. I would recommend this hotel.
