“Ottimo!”

Hotel Masaccio was just... perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and encouraging of our attempts to practice Italian, though their English (if you're into that sort of thing) was excellent. For a very reasonable price we had a large, warm and inviting, clean room, and easy walking access to the whole town of Florence. There were a lot of stairs, and it was far enough from the center of town to be very quiet and peaceful, so I would not recommend it for people with serious mobility issues. But otherwise, the walk (less than ten minutes to the Galleria where Michelangelo's David is housed, about fifteen minutes to the Duomo and twenty to Santa Maria Novella train station) was a nice way to begin and end a day of sightseeing. Also, there is a grocery store right down the street for those who prefer not to spend all of their money at restaurants. Anyone who is looking to stay in Florence for a reasonable price, and/or in a welcoming, homey, friendly hotel at any cost, should consider the Hotel Masaccio. Seriously, too good for words!

“Florence”

Had been extremely satisfied with a service, I said it to a member of a staff. I used to live in a five stars hotels and could compare with that. Firstly, explained area, gave hanksa map, gave a wi-fi password and afterwards helped to print a map for us. It's been really nice. BIG thanks!

“Great Value”

This is a lovely place to stay. The staff are friendly, helpful and speak excellent English. They were so helpful to us advising us wher to go and the best way to get there we cannot praise them highly enough. The hotel itself is basic but if you're just using it as a place to sleep while you explore Florence it's perfect and excellent value. It's a good 20-25 minute walk into town but it's a pleasant walk and nicely flat . We found it the perfect way to walk off all that Pizza & Ice Cream! One word of warning though, the mosquitos are vicious so take plenty of repelant and a plug-in thing for your room!

“Simple comfortable and friendly Hotel”

This Hotel is a bit out of the way but within walking distance to all sight seeing spots. The staff speaks English and is eager to help and make suggestions for a good visit to Florence.
