“real quality for the money”
I was overall impressed with the Hotel Donatello. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good quality and the expresso was extremely good! The only thing I found to be a little different is the front desk controls when the A/C is turned on.Very good place to stay!
“Smart appearance, cosy rooms...”
Our first time in Florence and both city and hotel did not disappoint! Friendly, English speaking and good value. The only blip was on our second morning when we had to request items for breakfast. Wheelchair friendly room and shower.

“Great Place to Stay”
We had a little trouble finding the hotel because the maps and signs are sometimes hard to follow. But once we foud it, we were extremely happy. Out beautiful stained glass window opened onto a charming park. The room was spacious and we had the best bathroom during our stay in Italy. It was huge by European standards and had a tub. Breakfast was adequate.

we took 3 rooms for ourselves & family from Brasil & Washington,DC ,for the 9 days of the Florence Bienalle of Contemporary Art,December,2009.Everything about the Donatello worked very well for all of us....friendly,helpfull reception & breakfast staff.our car was wisked away & appeared again as requested. very good value. excellent location .
“Excellent Hotel”
Good location to all attractions and helpful staff. The rooms were large and comfortable. Would highly recomment this hotel.

Only 4 coathangers for 2 ladies with a lot of clothes, but they supplied us with more promptly!
“I'll stay here again”
If you don't require kid glove service and are just looking for an affordable, clean, safe, nice hotel, book with the Donatello. The location made for an easy walk right into San Marco (Fra Angelicos), the Academia (The David) and a straight shot into the Duomo. The breakfasts were a little boring, but you're right around the corner from the Marcato Centrale for good local cuisine. If you can, ask for room #202. It has a small terrace overlooking the park. Enjoy!
“Great”
The room was gigantic and opened up to the courtyard. It had high ceilings and stained glass windows. It was excellent. The staff were kind and helpful.
“Good hotel in a great location”
Clean and comfortable room, great location and staff that was friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was better than expected and all of the above made for a great stay.
