“Florence in November”

We booked triple room. Decent and clean. Location was a 15 min. walk from the train station, but the streets were pedestrian friendly.

“Good hotel but experience a bit ruined by nighttime clerk”

If not the last night, I would have rated this hotel as 5 out of 5. Very good location, nice room, attentive staff. This was a perfect hotel for our stay for Firenze Marathon. However, when checking out early in the morning to catch our 7 am flight we waited for 10 minutes for elevator as they were stopped for maintenance works and launched again only after we called the reception. Nobody offered us any apology and even said we were wrong to complain.

“Beautiful hotel”

We were very impressed with the hotel. The room was very nice. We had a beautiful view of the Arno River. The hotel wasn't located right in the center of all the activity which we liked. It was only about a 10 minute walk to the center, which we enjoyed. There are stores along the way, we enjoyed all the walking around the city. I would go back to this hotel again!

“Room with a View”

We had a great stay at the Hotel Berchielli. Our rooms overlooked the Arno River and the Ponte Vecchio. Everything we wanted to see was easily within walking distance and the hotel staff was helpful and professional. Our room was clean and well appointed and the first night turndown service was a nice surprise. Breakfast was plentiful with good service and plenty of choices.

“Location Location location”

WOW... What a great hotel and the staff were fantastic. Room cleaned top to bottom everyday and bed completely stripped and fresh linen every day. Great bathroom and shower... If there was a neg it is the slow wifi connection. We would highly recommend this hotel.

“vacation stay in Florence”

The Hotel Berchielli is an art deco hotel on the banks of the Arno in Florence. I had a single room reached by an interior stairway, but it was very comfortable and relatively spacious. The complimentary breakfast was a decent buffet with eggs and breakfast meats as well as the usual continental fare. The service at the hotel was excellent and they provided help with reservations and advice.

“Aweful for the price but good location - not 4 stars”

It took us 1 hour to get to the hotel when we were 100 feet away because all the streets were closed. We finally got to the room and opened the window for fresh air and took a nap. I woke up itching, turned on the lights, and noticed about 20 mosquitos on the wall. I called the front desk in panic, and they blamed us for opening the window and letting the mosquitos in from the river...they didn't even warn us!! The bed was pretty uncomfortable but the room was pretty nice and great location. Parking per day was 25 euro a complete rip off.

“A good location but not the 4th best hotel in the world”

The room was a little bit small but clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is really great comparing with another hotels in the area. The staff was friendly excepting the guy at check in, who clearly lied regarding the paperwork. He stated that the guests should sign an additional document by law but I often visit Italy and Florence, it was my 5th visit to Florence this year and any other hotels don't ask you for that document. It was only the typical authorization to allow the hotel and their associates to keep your personal information and send you offers and such. By the way, since some weeks ago all the hotels at Florence ask for a new tax, one euro per star, per person and per night which is kinda excessive. Fortunately I knew it but I have found several guests arguing about it at check out.
