During the summer months, guests can start their morning with breakfast on the rooftop terrace accompanied with sweeping views of the city and the surrounding countryside. Visitors can also watch the sun go down over the Tuscan hills with a drink from the same vantage point in the evening. Alternatively, the hotel garden with pool, bar and terrace provides space for swimming, relaxation and sunbathing from June to the end of September.
A ground floor cocktail bar and piano lounge also provides a selection of Italian wines with live music, while those more interesting shopping can visit the gallery shop offering a selection of Italian fashion accessories and crafts. Complimentary wireless (high-speed) Internet access is available throughout the hotel. Business guests have use of multiple small meeting rooms, secretarial services, and audio-visual facilities. Those keen to explore Florence have use of concierge services at the 24-hour reception, where a range of walking tours is on offer.
Rooms
The Croce Di Malta Hotel features 98 guestrooms spread over its four floors, all accessible via two lifts. No two rooms are identical, however they are all characterized by a mixture of rustic, dark wood tables, antique-style furniture and heavy drapery covering long windows with wooden-slatted shutters. Views are either over the street or the gardens; several rooms include small balconies. Original art pieces decorate the walls.
All rooms provide 21” televisions with satellite channels and pay movies; infrared keyboards for TV Internet and PlayStation games consoles are also available (surcharge). Tiled bathrooms include showers or shower/tubs, together with wall-mounted hair dryers and complimentary toiletry sets.

Guests of the Croce Di Malta Hotel enjoy a complimentary hot and cold buffet breakfast each morning.
Ristorante Il Coccodrillo - Atmospherically-lit dining room serving a menu specialising in Italian cuisine to a mixture of hotel guests and passing locals. Typical dishes include Roasted Seabream with Aromatic Herbs, and Sirloin Steak with Rucola and Parmesan Cheese. Entrance is via the hotel or from the street, and the terrace opens up into the garden during clement weather. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“Loved this hotel”
This hotel has a lot of history and a great location. The room was sparsely furnished but extremely clean and very comfortable. The staff was helpful. It was within close walking distance to everything.
“Beautiful Hotel, Shady Area”
This hotel was very nice, although the staff was a bit snobby. My room was large and clean with new fixtures in the bathroom. The hotel was near the train station, which can be a little scary to walk by at night by yourself. Overall, a good experience.

The Croce Di Malta offers excellent service, clean rooms, and a friendly staff. It sits off of Santa Maria Novella square which is quiet at night but is only minutes (walking) from the train station, the Duomo, the Uffizi, etc. Great location!
“Great location to see the city on foot.”
We thought the hotel was great and would go back without a second thought. The room, bathrooms and restaurant were very clean and the entire staff was also very helpful. We were a little suprised to find out our room was 2 tier with the sleeping area and 2nd bath up a flight of steps.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, great location. Was a plumbing problem in my room so they moved me to a suite for the remainder of my stay - 5 nights at no extra charge. very pleasant stay!
“A smart starting point”
A few meters off the premium path, but very accessible to all the key traveler services. The location is backed with great hotel concierge service in a roomy modern decor. Breakfast was always a great start to the day and added to the welcoming atmosphere. Nice hotels are Italy's strong point, and the Croce does not disappoint.

Everything was in walking distance including the train and bus stations making for easy side trips. Also very good restaurants abound.
“Not Bad at all”
Must admit, when I booked this hotel I wasn't expecting much. Turns out, it's a nice place to stay. Very close to train & sites. Very convenient. Had a 2-story room which was fun. Very charming hotel!
