“Wonderful, friendly service”
We loved this hotel, esp for the price. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well, which was a MUST in July. So close to many things.
“Loved this warm and helpful staff”
Hotel Columba made our trip to Florence a delightful experience. The staff was extremely warm and helpful the entire visit. They are all involved in every aspect of service. Our room was ready almost immediately when we arrived around 12noon. They gave good advice for our short 2 day visit to Florence, the hotel was perfectly located for walking to everything including the train station and the breakfasts were the best we had in all of our trip to Italy! Lots of hot water and water pressure, beautiful linens, comfortable beds...need I say more for weary travelers. The only thing that was missing was a nice view from our hotel window. We were on an inside room overlooking rooftops. It was very quiet though. We paid more for this hotel than we usually can but it was worth it and well placed in our travels.
“Nice Hotel”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Colomba (5/11-5/14 2006). The hotel is in a great location, but then again florence is small enough that any hotel in the downtown vicinity will allow you to walk to all the sites. The family running the Colomba were extremely nice and the hotel was clean, confortable and the breakfast was good. I would stay there again.
“Excellent Value and Location”
Room 14 was pleasant. Very quiet and cleaned daily. There is plenty of hot water and the free daily breakfast and beverages including fresh cappuccino is very satisfying. The only thing that keeps me from giving them a 5 is you have to leave your hotel keys with the front desk when leaving the hotel and get them back when you return. This is a great place for couples or friends who want a great value in a great location.
