Built between 537 and 1453, this mosque turned museum is home to countless history lessons and perhaps one of the world’s most talked about domes. While you’re in town, marvel at the tiled décor in Sultan Ahmed Mosque, also called Blue Mosque, and explore the Topkapi Palace. The colourful bazaars are where you can find Turkish tea and rugs, which are the perfect souvenirs. Cruise down the Bosphorus in a ferry to see the city from a different perspective, and then soak at a hamam, Turkish bath, to relax and rejuvenate for the adventures ahead.
