“Brand new and ready for guests”

My only complaint is with the free breakfast. The staff said that it was going to improve. They had oatmeal packets (very goo) but only luke warm water to add to them (not so good. There was a beautiful pool and we had peace and quiet at night.

“We definitely will stay here again.”

We have stayed at other hotels in the Mattoon area over the last five years and this was the most comfortable and stress free experience that we have had. We were impressed with the friendly service, clean swimming pool, and clean rooms with very comfortable beds. We will definitely stay here again.

“Very nice”

Booked the no name special and was very surprised how nice it was. Check in was easy. Breakfast was okay.

“Great Hospitality”

The outlet and the hairdryer in our room were not working so the girl at the front desk ran to Walmart and got us an extension cord and a hair dryer. She also bought us a travel kit for each of my girls and myself for the inconvience. They were very apologetic and found a solution to the problem. Will be staying at that hotel from now on when I go out to Eastern Illinois University to visit my daughter.

The rooms were clean and updated. Nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. I would recommend this hotel

Very inexpensive and nice hotel. Newly remodeled. Friendly staff. And great indoor pool.

“Good for overnight stay”

The room was small but we only slept there. Not big enough to lounge at night. No refrig - only downside to the room. Clean bathrooms. Had great complimentary breakfast.

“We'll be back next year!”

The outside could use some work. I was nervous staying for the first time as I pulled in the parking lot. After I was inside, I realized that it was nice. Remodeling had been done recently. The pool area was nice. I was able to use the computer in the lobby for internet access. The rates were reasonable. We had a great stay and booked a room for next year's visit already.

“OK in a pinch and they are improving”

The hotel was OK and they just took over from another chaing. However, they still have some work to do in the rooms as far updating the carpeting and beds. We unfortunately were stuck in a smokers room.

“Disappointed in bathroom”

Unbelievable how SMALL the bathroom is. Good thing only 2 of us in the room cause it was difficult to shut the door and use the toilet! Plus no vent in bath....no tea bags or any type of protein at the Daybreak breakfast. Most hotels offer hard boiled eggs and milk. They offered bagels but no cream cheese..who does that? In the case of this hotel you get what you pay for.
