“"Can't wait to go back”
I loved service
“Great for a weekend on Whyte!”
Great hotel in walking distance to many shops and restaurants, perfect locaton.
“Will definately go again!”
We stayed at the Metterra (first time) on St Patricks Day weekend and requested a higher floor as we read reviews advising this due to the street noise. There were tons of ppl out that night and Whyte Ave looked incredibly busy and was very noisy - but our room was sooo amazingly comfortable that we had no problem sleeping through it. The bed was AWESOME! I never slept in so comfortable of a bed! The bathroom and perfect for holidaying couples - shower had four jets (pressure wasn't very hard, but never ran out of hot water!) Layout of the room was so unique. Kuerig coffee maker and ipod docking station and the newer flat screen really made the room feel luxurious and updated. Very very quiet for being directly across from the elevator, and no street rebellers made it onto our floor. There was very little to almost no hallway or room next door noise. We had a wonderful stay.
Always a great stay. Rooms are clean and modern, staff is great. Can't beat the free breakfast and evening wine tasting!
“Loved this hotel!”
Absolutely perfect location for our Fringe adventure - easy walk to tons of fab restaurants, bars, theatre, and action. We really loved our stay and will definitely be back.
“Beautiful oasis in a busy hub!”
The Metterra Hotel on Whyte is a beautiful oasis in a busy hub! Our Earth room on the 8th was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Our room was supposed to have a king bed but I think because we checked in after the Oilers game it may have already been given to someone else, but the double bed in our room was extremely comfortable with body conforming pillows and a beautiful duvet. The location (once we were able to find it, we're not familiar with Whyte Ave) is perfect for those looking to go out on the town and there are food vendors nearby that are still open after the bars close. Opt for the free valet service if you're not familiar with parking areas available in the area, just make sure you call down about 15-20 mins before you need your vehicle pulled up. Overall, fantastic!!!
“Weekend get away on the Motor bike.”
Was really nice place to stay. Rooms are nicely set out. Even very quite for the location, The weekend it is quite busy with all ages of party goers. On the saturday morning walking along the Avenue is great. The side walks are cleaned starting early in the morning. There are many shops along the Avenue for every taste. You can stop and listen to some very good music being played live. The continental breakfast is much better then most places, meaning eggs, waffles and bacon are also available. Starts and finishes at a reasonable time. Draw backs, have to park a couple blocks away and wifi signal very poor. But can request a locked parking area at no extra charge. Parking is included in price of room. Exercise walking to and from also a bonus.
We really liked the presentation of the room - the shape of the hotel room was very unique - kind of winding it's way to the bed. We felt it was very romantic (and we're in our late 50s). When we arrived, we found we only had one bathrobe in our room. I went down to the desk and spoke to someone who assured me it would be taken care of. We left the hotel and returned within 2 hours - it was there! Great service. Thank you.
