“First time in Edinburgh and will not be the last!”

Went for a long weekend from Portsmouth. Left home at 7.15am and was in the Guest house by 11am! (flight from Southampton - cheap and easy) Guest House is on the main bus route from the airport (Airlink bus every 10 mins open return cost £6) opposite Edinburgh Zoo. Bus Stop almost outside the Guest and buses all the time to the city centre which takes about 10-15 mins. A day ticket cost £3.20 (can not use on airlink bus) The owners of the guest were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and a nice size. tea, coffee and biscuits in the room and topped each day. Nice breakfast before a great day out in city of Edinburgh and a day at the Zoo :-) . Will be back to this guest house next time I visit Edinburgh

“The worst B&B breakfaxt in Scotland????”

Oh, such a dull and ordinary B&B, which I suppose is all one can expect for the price we paid. The manager made it clear that we'd inconvenienced her by arriving "late" (even though it was only about 7.30). The breakfast was completely tasteless. On the good side, there is free parking outside and a frequent bus service into the centre, which makes it a very practical option. An example of getting what you pay for.
