“Addendum to previous post”

In addition, i would definitely instuct taxi drivers to find the "Cargo" restaurant on Fountainbridge to avoid confusion. Must say that I have found Edinburgh taxi drivers to be generally excellent and above board on many visits, but as the development is quite recent, there will still be some not quite up to speed.

“An Excellent Place to Stay”

Excellent standard of accommodation, clean and modern. The apartments are also in a good location to walk to the Castle and Princes Street. We stayed for 3 nights and were very comfortable and felt at home. We also found it easy to walk from Haymarket Station (10 mins) and saved the taxi fare!

“Very nice!”

My family loved staying here (4 adults & 1 teen). We found this cheaper than getting 2 hotel rooms & the accomodations were great. Nice sized rooms, great modern baths, flat screen TVs, comfy sofas. The location is about 10-15 minute walk from the castle & the EQ-2 is not located in a tourist area. There is a coffee shop right next door & a small market (Tesco) a few blocks away. We thought the location convenient. Only drawback is the neighborhood is a bit run down - you can tell the city is working on revitalizing the area though. I did feel a bit uncomfortable walking at night. The staff were friendly & accomodating. All in all - I would recommend staying here (I am self confessed very picky about where I stay). I would definitely stay here again!

“Superb hotel/Apartment”

“Helly and Christophers trip to Edinburgh”

First impressions 'wow' brilliant size, large bedroom, kitchen area, living room and stunning bathroom, we couldn't have asked for anything more. 10 minute walk from Haymarket station but only a twenty minute walk to the centre.

“Space to relax in”

Spacious accommodations. It was wonderful to have an apartment setting to relax in after staying in smaller boutique hotels throughout the UK. Attractions were all within walking distance: Edinburgh Castle, Royal Mile, National Gallery of Scotland, shopping and pubs. Beautiful glassware, dishes, and cooking utensils all provided. Having breakfast items supplied in the fridge was very nice as well.

“Highly recommended!”

This hotel (actually apartments) was terrific. It was extremely comfortable, well furnished and had all the amenities. The combination washer/dryer was a new experience for me, and the dryer took forever; if you use it, make sure to halve the load first. It is faster that way. The availability of the washer/dryer allowed us to take far less, simplifying the packing significantly. The hotel is within walking distance of the Royal Mile, but it is a good 10-15 minute walk with some uphill. Cab fare ran between 5.50 to 6.50 pounds before tip. Several good restaurants in close proximity, and tons within walking distance. Parking is free and secure. Well worth the money.
