“Great times in Edinburgh”
Hotel has a great location for touring around the old town. Easy walk to many tourist sites, shops and restaurants. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A couple of bars nearby were convenient for nightlife. Quaint hotel nestled in a reasonably quiet street. Would definitely go back!
“Will stay there again.”
We enjoyed our stay at Tailors Hall Hotel. The staff were quite friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was tasteful and plentiful. The hotel was close to the major attractions. The only setback we had at the hotel was the elevator was inoperable during our stay. If we ever return to Edinburgh, we will stay at the Tailors Hall Hotel.
“Excellent value for money”
The hotel is conveniently situated in walking distance to all kinds of shops, lovely restaurants, pubs & bars and mayor tourist attractions, such as the Edinburgh Castle. All hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in every respect. For the notedly welcoming atmosphere, sufficient facilities and comfortable rooms and furnitures, we thought the Tailors Hall Hotel was the ideal place to stay during our trip to visit Edinburgh.
“will come back”
We booked this Hotel because of it's location in Edinburgh. the rooms are very good , but need some TLC in places, such as lamps in bathroom cabinet out. tilt and turn blind in bathroom broken all doors in rooms need oiling. breakfast good although continental one lacks. Reception staff very friendly and most helpfull. catering staff leave a little to be desired. Our room was at rear of hotel so noise was not a great issue although front rooms would have been noisy from Three Sisters Bar. This is a popular meeting place in evenings and very noisy, but what the hell vere both over 60 and children of the 60's so music we can handle. Any way if your there for festival stay up and join in. Hotel is well situated and city can be walked with ease. We will definitely return to visit the places we didn't get to this time. Take a tour bus these are very good value. Also bus from Airport is only 5 pounds return much cheaper than cab.
“Great bed; great location”
There during rugby championship. Crazy night scene but had a room in the back; no problem. Got to enjoy the young people celebrating and had a great night's rest. Nice included breakfast; tour bus picked us up in front of hotel. Enjoyed this place and would return. A great Edinburgh experience.
“Interesting hotel/location”
The girls at the desk were very helpful and nice.It was a little dark at night to walk back to this location from Pubs, etc... but no problems at all.Would stay again!
“Would go back!”
Somewhat worried after reading reviews on another internet site the night before our trip!We need not have been though. Really helpful staff, allowing us to lock our luggage away before/after check/out. Nothing too much trouble and service with a smile. Breakfast fine, room also. No noise experienced at all although it was midweek.Probably more suited to younger guests but myself and 18 yr old daughter thoroughly satisfied.
“wonderful place to stay in grimy Bruxelles”
We had a deluxe room in this hotel. It was fantastically comfortable. The hotel is centrally located, right next to the Bourse. There are bars, places to eat cheaply, and great sights all within walking distance. The hotel was immaculate and the service staff very friendly. The price was quite nice also. It is a bout 6 euros to get to the hotel from Zud midi.
“A very cool hotel, very nicely located near the Royal Mile”
This was an excellent hotel, although its surroundings didn't indicate it would be. A nice old stone building with a pleasant staff, comfortable rooms, and scruptuous breakfast. Its only drawback was that it was difficult to find, since it is on a lower level and my map indicated the road (Cowgat) would intersect a major road (South Bridge). Once we guessed it was on a lower level it took some circling to figure out how to get there, but it was well worth the trouble. Their arrangement with a nearby parking garage was a pleasant two pounds sixty for two nights. I will go back in an instant.
“Would love to see more of the town again someday...”
Didn't have time to see much of the town, but what we did see, we liked very much. Woman at the counter was very nice and helpful. Bed was a little hard, but that's (unfortunately) normal for hotels these days. The building that houses the hotel (I know, odd sentence) was built in the 1620s, so that was an added cool factor. Breakfast was very good. The hotel location is also near a stop for one of the tour bus routes (Mac Tours, I believe) and that's a plus. There's a club/bar near the hotel (Three Sisters) so it could get loud late at night for some people. We'd definitely stay there again, though.
