“Bec & June 2011”
Such a great experience with our first time in Scotland. The staff were all lovely and very helpful with me and my 80 year old Grandma. Breakfast was fantastic and the location of the hotel was easy to get around the city of Edinburgh. I will be coming her when next in Edinburgh.
“Excellent choice for Edinburgh break”
Great location, clean and professionally run. First class full Scottish breakfast. Modern (rather than traditional) atmosphere. Exterior appearance of hotel initially gave cause for concern, and even drop-off parking was a problem (perhaps a result of major work on near-by Princess St). NCP parking (with hotel discount) 5-10 mins walk away. Overall, though, a good experience. Would stay there again.

“Would highly recommend”
We sayed 2 nights at the Apex Waterloo Hotel and I wish we had had more time! The room was of the upmost comfort and cleanliness. Room service was prompt and the menu choice excellent. Futhermore, the quality of the food was extremeley desirable. My only error was the parking situation. There was a discounted NCP car park, however we parked at the wrong one and were not asked on arrival if we had parked or informed of which the car park was the one that they discounted. Would highly recommend the train! Definately would choose this hotel again and stay at others within the same brand
“Amazing Hotel - Amazing Location”
We stayed at the Apex Waterloo for 2 nights a few weeks ago. I had previously stayed at the Apex International in the Grassmarket. The Apex Waterloo has a perfect location, it is modern, comfortable and would not hesitate to stay here if I returned to Edinburgh. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

“Great location under Calton Hill”
Right in the centre of Edinburgh, convenient for Old and New Towns, new conversion of old building, very nicely equipped. Comfy large bed. Excellent shower. Good furniture in spacious room. Large flat screen TV. All staff were helpful and breakfasts were good (but pricy), except coffee could be stronger. If you have a room on the front, be ready for the early morning buses which pause with engines running before departure.
“Fabulous hotel!”
This hotel is really well situated for visiting Edinburgh and all its sights. Its 5 mins from the train station (and has an exit/entrance from the ground floor so you don't have to use the Waverely Steps) and Princes Street. The hotel itself was fantastic, the rooms are newly refurbished so all of the bedding/towels etc were high grade and the bed was really comfortable. The TV in the room is great - a brilliant size, and loads of channels which makes it an easier stay when its wet and windy outside. The bathroom is fantastic, best shower we've ever had in a hotel room anywhere in the world. I would highly recommend this hotel, and will definitely stay there again.

Great location (a couple minutes walk from train and bus station), friendly staff, very clean and comfortable room. Very good value. We stayed in B&B's for most of our trip, so this was very luxurious in comparison. Would definitely stay there again.
