Lovely old fashioned hotelPosted 09/10/2013
This hotel takes you back to how hotels were years ago. Really friendly staff who know the area inside out and take the trouble to talk to guests and make you feel really welcome. Beautiful spacious room, lovely breakfast. Only downside was unbearable heat in our room (above the boiler) and antiquated plumbing (shower hot and cold).

The room and hotel are well appointed. The only small criticism is that the room was very warm. Breakfast was excellent, with a very good quality cooked breakfast. The car park is a highly desirable feature in Rye.

I'ved stayed in many hotels at a similar price and have had a larger room and better bathroom. The parking situation was ridiculous. They have about 10 spaces at the back of the hotel for 50 rooms. They expect you will leave them your car keys so they can shuffle all the cars about. I would question their insurance cover. The bathroom was tiny and the shower really needs updating. However, the room was quiet and the hotel is in a prime location right at the top of the high street. I think a fair amount of the price for the room is the fact it is in Rye, not because of the hotel itself.

A conveniently located hotel in RyePosted 20/05/2013
Location: A short walk from all the towns attractions
The hotel was very nice and conveniently located in the town so that guests can walk to all the towns attractions. The room was small but comfortable and well equipped and the staff were very helpful. The hotel has a large free parking area at the back which is a plus in a town that has few places to park.

Great place to visitPosted 15/05/2013 on Hotels.com
Ideally situated just on the edge of Rye town with views over the marsh. We stayed for two days, never used the car as everything was just a walk away. Hotel breakfast was very good however did not have a restaurant but there are lots of eateries in the town.

Perfect for a stay in RyePosted 25/09/2012
Pros: The Rolls Royce parked out the front! No, seriously, our room was lovely.
Cons: Size of the bathroom
Location: Perfectly located close to the High Street.
We pretty much only slept and showered there; but the room was very clean and comfy (tiny bathroom for my 6'4" tall hubby, but he managed!), staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is ideally located for a visit to Rye. All in all, a very pleasant overnight stay.

Beautiful RyePosted 05/09/2012 on Hotels.com
In a time warp, but nice. Unfortunately the shower bracket was broken, and the curtains did not cover the window! Twin booked - only double available - but a big bed and v comfortable.
