“Would stay again”
I was impressed with this hotel. It was a great location for me, as it wasn't far from the airport and to get into town was a 10-15 ride on tram, which runs infront the hotel (tram stop just a couple mins walk if that) or 10 mins by taxi. Hotel quality was great. breakfast was a little expensive per person, but there was a good choice. There was also a wellbeing centre on top which I made good use of especially as there was no one else up there at the time. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel also has its own parking at 15euros a night and its not always easy to find parking around. My only downfall for it was the bed. Didn't think that a double room for 2 adults meant 2 separate beds.. but we worked around that.
“A Good Business Hotel”
This was my first time in Dusseldorf. I dont know the city well but the hotel was 10 min away (by car) from the city center. So we wanted to take the bus, but since it was weekend we needed to wait for it for quite some time. I would say the location is the only drawback. Other than that it is all you would expect from a good hotel.
“clean comfortable/ no frills”
clean comfortablerooms / no frills/ Everyone spoke English and was helpful. The train station was a 2 minute walk.
“Dusseldorf experience”
The hotel was recommended by the organiser, so I decided to give it a try. The location was quite convenience from the main airport. It's only two stops from the terminal and less than 5 mins walk from the train station. The check-in was efficient and straight forward. Despite asking for double bed; apparently the hotel only offers twin bed put close next to each other - which was rather annoying. The duvet was quite small compared to even single duvet we have in the UK, another annoying point! Then the pillows - despite using three pillows - they are so soft and didn't give the support I'd normally get from my pillows at home. The light switches, aircons etc were okay; fridge was fully stocked. Surprisingly for a four star hotel - the tv is still the old version cathode tubes and not a flat screen. It's working fine with reasonable selection of channels. Bathroom was comfy and commendable. Again, surprisingly no safety box to keep your belongings. Not the type of room for romantic get away!! Gym and sauna were advertised greatly on the website - but they had one treadmill - not working; two cross trainers and cycling; sadly only one of each was in working order. Wifi - only available at the lobby area; they give it 30min free but you have to pay extra afterwards. All in all; not great for romantic weekend get away and no much facilities to attract business clients either. Slightly out of town but central station only three stops away, and they have 24hr petrol station
