“great location, very friendly staff”

Ideally located and in walking distance to the Historic Precinct of Dunedin and many great restaurants. Rooms have recently been renovated. Besides milk, they even put some bread and eggs in the fridge for you for brekky. Staff could not have been more helpful

“Time Out”

A great little motel. We found it very warm and comfortable with everything we needed. The staff were very pleasant and good to deal with. Walking distance for the town centre and 10 minutes for takeaways. The only drawback was the noisy passers by in the night, but you get them anywhere. All in all an enjoyable and comfy place to stay with the old fashioned radiator heating which is definitely a plus. Would definitely stay here again.

“We are looking forward to coming back to Farrys”

We rented 2 apartments for a week. One for the parents, the second for our adult sons. Farrys was just right for us. We wanted to sight see in Dunedin and the surrounding area and the location was perfect. We really appreciated Farrys Motel for its price, cleanliness, comfort and the thoughtfulness in which the kitchen was supplied. Although this is an older building, the rooms are very modern and clean - extremely well maintained. We have stayed in many newer places and paid more for rooms that were not kept up nearly as well as Farrys. We cooked in our room quite often and found that the kitchen was provisioned well for cooking meals (usually not the case for apartments). Unlike several other apartments that we stayed in, Farrys has free internet and it is simple, just plug in the cable and you're plugged in. I felt like we got a great deal at Farrys and hope to come back some time.

“Best bed and shower EVER!”

Only a few minutes walk from the shops, restaurants etc and very handy for uni of Otago. Warm, comfortable and with free wifi. Breakfast supplies and a very unobtrusive daily clean. The most comfortable bed and best shower I've ever experienced in a hotel! These are the two things that can make or break a stay away from home so really, you can't ask for anymore than that. Definitely recommend Farry's. Oh and the shuttle service from airport is $25/30 to Farry's too ;)

“Excellent Hotel Accommodation Experience”

Hotel was very comfortable, spacious and clean. The bed was the most comfortable bed that I have slept in. Internet connection and usage without fuss, hassle or being charged is a great way to do business. The staff were extremely helpful and obliging, in fact Sandra made numerous calls to find some items for me to purchase without the hassle of tracking around town looking for them. I will be staying at Farry's again and would highly recommend them to other business travellers, and all and sundry.

“suitable motel to stay for a short time”

a nice motel to stay a short time.it is 15 minites walking to the center.but only 5 minites to otago university campus.every thing is cleaned. no claims only hot and cold water sink in the bath room is separate ,which make it difficult to wash hands.

This motel was very convenient to town. Staff were very friendly. Not the newest of hotels but comfortable.

“Very pleasant if unexceptional”

The motel is located about 800 yards from the centre of Dunedin and in an area close to the university, with a number of restaurants, cafes ans bars in easy reach. Our room was well appointed albeit the colour scheme was not to my taste. Cooking facilities were fine and the bed was acceptably comfortable. All in all a pleasant if unexceptional place to stay in a city which we really took to.
