Should be a hostel
We were supposed to stay at Adriatic hotel, which was closed and we got transfer to Komodor, right next door. Breakfast: it was included. Topical food with a great variety, with a good coffee machine!!! Front desk: helpful Cleaning: the old carpet was not cleaned, full of hair And debris, nasty! We had shampoo and soup for the first day only!!! The shower sink was clogged, I asked the front desk, cleaning personnel and nothing. We took shower with flip flops! Clean towels daily.

The property is well situated, the back rooms are quite but the front rooms a little noisy but fortunately it is quite during the night. The other thing is there is no Lift to the upper levels . One thing they could do is maybe have an electrical flask for boiling water. The Staff are super helpful.

2 star hotel, so 4 star standards shouldn't be expected. There is no lift. Friendly staff, adequate breakfast with a stunning view over the adriatic. Bedroom ok. WIFI excellent. Bus stop for the No4 bus that takes you right to the old town, is right outside the door. Journey takes 15 minutes. No complaints

Location was excellent. Having to climb several flights of stairs to get to our third floor room was a bit tiring, so an elevator would be much appreciated

One of the BEST hotels I have ever stayed at in my life! The staff are so sweet and helpful. I told them ahead of time I’d be celebrating my birthday during this trip, they had a basket of fruit & a note reading “Happy Birthday” waiting for me in my room. I wish I could give this hotel 10 stars. They make you feel right at home & are super happily helpful in assisting with directions and tours. ALSO THEY OFFER AN AMAZING DINNER RECEPTION AT DISCOUNTED PRICE AND A WONDERFUL BREAKFAST BUFFET in the mornings as well. You guys are so amazing, when I return for a vacation in Croatia I know exactly where to go. Also there’s a bus stop steps away from the hotel that takes you directly to Old City and not to mention the breathtaking view from the hotel is simply exquisite! Thank you all at Hotel Adriatic.

Very welcoming staff, and rooms kept very clean. The bus stop into town is right outside the hotel, so it's very handy for trips out. I only ate breakfast in the restaurant, but there was a good selection of hot & cold food in the buffet. The only negative was that some of the towels & sheets are a bit worn & tatty, but they were all clean so it wasn't really a big deal. Great budget hotel

Great Location, Great Value
Hotel Adriatic was a perfect for us. The location is a quick bus ride from the Old Town. The bus is right outside the hotel. The hotel is across the street from a beautiful beach and down the block from Sunset Beach and a promenade filled with great restaurants. The staff was very nice and helpful. Parking was available from the hotel for 10 Euros-a bargain! Breakfast was included which was great too. Many food options. The room was simple, a bit antiquated but very clean. It served it's purpose for us. We came to visit Dubrovnik, not stay in a hotel room. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Better than most
This hotel is across from the beach, close to cafes and restaurants. The bus to town is right outside the door. It's VERY clean and the staff are exceptional. Only down side it doesn't have a lift, it could do with an upgrade and toiletries are basic. Would recommend this place to all. Don't know why it's only 2 star. We stayed in several 3 and 4 star hotels in Croatia and this was the best.

Cheap comfort for maximum value
Comfortable, clean and friendly staff. Great location close to beach and public transport. Some food outlets which were reasonably priced and tasty. Cheap for Dubrovnik with free breakfast and WiFi.

Run down property but good location.
The room was very run down - torn curtains, bathroom doors not locking well, uncomfortable beds, shower knob not working well. Further, we booked a room with Balcony/Patio with sea views. There were no rooms at all with Balcony/Patio. There are just rooms with sea view. The staff were friendly and the location is very good. Very close to old town and right outside a bus stop.

They charged us much more than our reservation was. The extra cost for a second guest was almost doubling the cost of the room. The breakfast buffer is pretty poor.

It was comfortable. Well located with a very pleasant staff. They were there when questions neede to be answered and had the right answers. A difficult shower fixture proved to be the only negative. A very pleasant stay.

Actually not a bad hotel
We booked this hotel for one night just to see if it was as bad as all the reviews say - it turns out it’s actually a pretty decent hotel! The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. The shower was good and so was the WiFi. Breakfast was great, especially the scrambled eggs. The lock on our bathroom door was broken and the sink had no plug - but this was no big deal. We could leave our bags at the reception after we checked out, although this was literally just in a corner so anybody could have taken them if they had wanted, and the girls at reception seemed nice enough too. I was actually a bit disappointed that this hotel wasn’t that bad at all and I enjoyed my brief stay here.

Hotel Adriatic is a perfectly suitable place to stay. It is right across the street from the water. Although it is not an updated facility, it is clean and comfortable- a bargain. The staff are multilingual and very nice. There is no elevator but the clerk helped me up the stairs with my bags. I even extended my stay one night when I could have moved to a better (and more expensive) Villa.

This hotel is old and the room smelled of smoke even thou I booked a non smoking room. I was also told we had a welcome dinner included and confirmed 2x that it was free. I even had the piece f paper to prove it when I got to the restaurant they took the paper, we went and got our food and after we started to eat we were told it was 30 each. The buffet food was gross! We ate salad, bread and watermelon- not worth 30 each. The location was good close to lots of restaurants (down the street), and the beach. Note there are lots of sea urchins in the water, so be careful! 2 days is a perfect amount of time in this location.

Lovely hotel Bit out of town. Steps to side of hotel bring you directly down to restaurants and port, few steps. Outdoor pool with bar snacks and indoor pool with some cardio machines. Breakfast was good. On bus route 3 from old town

I liked the friendliness of staff and their willingness to help. The housekeeping was professional, yet friendly and the front desk staff would go extra mile to assist when necessary ( I was carrying some bags when coming back from shopping one day and Mia, a front desk staff offered to help carry them to the top floor. I really appreciated this help as it was a very hot day). All the other front desk staff was also quite willing to help and answer all the questions I had about the property and the surrounding area. The front desk manager was very flexible when it came to parking of some of my family members who came to visit us during our stay at Adriatic. Thank you! This hotel has a great location, the beds are very comfortable and the view from the balcony is simply outstanding! The buffet breakfast is quite good and the restaurant personel is very hospitable. If you are looking for a cozy hotel in an excellent location, look no further! Thank you, Adriatic hotel staff! We had a fabulous time in beloved Dubrovnik :-) I am very pleased with Dubrovnik and customer service there overall. We had a dinner a few times in restaurant Vis whose personel is very hospitable as well. Even the health care personel in Dubrovnik is astounding! My son had a cut on his elbow and I took him to Emergency as the wound needed to be cleaned. The staff were so friendly and nice, they didn't even charge me. Considering I am a visitor in Croatia, this was greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

The hotel is aged but does the job well. Rught in front of a beach and restaurant with buffet breakfast is useful as Old Town is very expensive. Excellent access to local bus.

I suggest the addition of an elevator. When you have to go upstairs to a third floor with your luggages it’s not very practical. Vaccum and clean the floor everyday is a must , a must that unfortunately we didn’t get here at this hotel.We dropped something on the floor on the very first day and it was never cleaned. Must renovate the rooms, it was very old fashion and the beds were uncomfortable. The food wasn’t so great either. The only good point about this hotel was that is was situated near the beach ; about 2 min of walk. We didn't like our experience at this hotel and would not recommend.

Great views but if you are looking for a comfortable place, move on. Old run down and service was not up to standard. If location is all you are after, then by all means you have found your place.

We booked this hotel for just one night. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. If you look online it will show several local buses stopping right in front from the main bus station - NOT TRUE! Only one local bus stop at the hotel - number 4. If coming from the airport take the airport shuttle to Pile gate and there take bus 4 to Adriatic. The room included free breakfast and since we were leaving at 6am they prepare us a bag with bread, fruit and juice. Overall a good experience for one night.

Cheap but definitely not cheerful
Upon arrival at the hotel, it was very outdated, when we checked in, we went to our room, on the way the hallway had 6 beds propped against the wall, and the maids cart with a sheet thrown over the top of it, quite clearly this was usual and acceptable, when we entered our room, it smelt really bad, as if someone had urinated in the corner, the shower door didn't close properly so when you had a shower, it leaked onto the floor outside, which became wet and slippery and a safety issue. The mirror in the bedroom was postioned behind the dresser which had the TV on it, so was unusable, but this was probably due to the huge ac unit which was the same width as the single beds we had, this was depiste booking a double room. Breakfast was across the road in the restaurant which was clearly too big for the hotel, as they would have filled it on a busy day. The veiw we had being down the very end of the corridor, was of the hotel next doors pool. Which looked a better hotel than this one
