“great hotel!”
the hotel experience was great. the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. the cafe had a nice menu with decent prices. its only downfall was location, not the best neighbor hood my purse was stolen not far from the hotel would highly reccomend bringing minimal personal items when touring.
“Still a good place to stay”
I was staying in the Ballymun Plaza since its opening around 6 years ago and find it still clean and above average for a budget Hotel. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff is very nice and helpful - it could't be better. The management is a bit greedy - asking in addition to the cost of a monitored (they watch how much one gets on their plate) the Breakfast a further €8.00 for a cheap-supermarket-orange juice which is not nessesary at all, keeping in mind you get a carton off orange juice for about €0.87 at Aldi !! They should be ashamed!
“Value for Money.”
Overall It was very satisfying experience with Hotel. After arriving at the hotel I requested them for 2 separate Beds instead of 1 Bed and the staff there made the required arrangement. Stay is well priced and worth the money spent. Only Complaint is , I found the toilet was not properly cleaned.
“would stay there again”
staff were friendly and helpful, room was comfortable and very clean, the hotel is not too far from the city centre with a bus stop right outside. i would stay again when i next overnight in dublin.
“Wonderful Value”
1. There are council houses nearby. Don't give them a bother. 2. Wi-Fi at Travelodge is expensive. Go to the coffee shop across the plaza. 3. Across the street is Tesco and SuperValu. Good selection of fruits/veggies. 4. People at the bus stop are very helpful. 5. Hotpot in the room will serve you for coffee, tea, cup of soup. 6. Travelodge supplies you with coffee, tea, milk, wooden stir. 7. Take bus 4 or 13 to go to downtown. Ticket is E1.80. 8. Part of the building is apartments, but not a worry. 9. Not a great deal to see in Ballymun. 10. Don't forget DART Rail to see the seaside. 11. Great Wi-Fi downtown at McDonalds, SuperMacs and the Public Library. 12. The Public Library is in a downtown shopping center. 13. Across from the library is Lidl, a great grocery store with the best bakery. 14. A great place for lunch is Marks & Spencer at the deli in the basement. 15. The restaurant upstairs at M&S is overpriced. 16. Dublin is a value place to visit when compared with an overpriced Europe.
“Excellent Staff!”
Hotel was extremely great value, very clean rooms, excellent and helpful staff. Location is great for airport departures, and only a 15 min. bus ride to downtown Dublin. Very impressed, highly recommend this hotel!
“Enjoyable Stay”
I arrived early for check in and the front desk was accommodating in finding me an available room. The room was comfortable, clean and overall, the hotel was quiet. Public transportation was easily accessed and with direct service to city centre. Any requests I did make were dealt with professionally and efficiently. I would recommend this hotel.
“Flying out of Dublin Airport”
Great hotel if you are flying out of Dublin Airport. Nice, comfortable rooms.
“great deal”
it doesnt get much better for the money, this place was 15 minutes by bus to city center and 15 minutes by bus to the airport. the only problem I had was with the cab drivers who kept taking me to hotel north even after i told them i was staying at airport south. if your going to go by cab make sure you specify Ballymun or else they will probably take you to hotel north. but the people at hotel south are incredibly nice, the food was very good, and the room was perfect! for the price i definitely recommend it!
“I'll be back”
efficient & friendly from reception to room cleaners. pity there is no public bus connection to airport
