“Great for the pirce”
A tad far from the city center, but the bus routes right outside the hotel made it easy. For what you pay for the bus, you save tons rather than spending in the noisy city center. The service was very kind after I bombarded them with 1,000 questions. So polite and kind. (their accent didn't hurt a bit either) The shuttle to the airport was very fast. Don't be alarmed, taking the shuttle to the airport with all the twists are turns...it's actually really close, just a lot of one way streets! Michael the shuttle driver was...awesome to say the least. Definitely my favorite member of the Days crew!!!! ;)
“Good ınexpensıve hotel”
I've stayed at the Metro once before and like it because it is clean and modern with a low price and very convenient access to the airport.
“Good for a night near the airport”
Perfect for a night's sleep if you need to catch a plane the next morning. The transfer to and from the airport used to be free but it's now 2 Euros, which is still pretty decent. Not recommended if you're going to visit Dublin: in that case, stay closer to the city. And do have something to eat at the airport if you arrive late, there is no food available after 10:00 PM.
“The Metro was a Good Choice”
We couldn't find any way to turn the shower spray on. The restaurant was also very nice, and the food was very good. The Desk Clerk said the 8:00 A.M. shuttle would bring us to the airport in just a few minutes. We were extremely rushed to make our 10:15 flight!
“It worked for me”
This was a comfortable clean and economic hotel near Dublin airport. My one frustration was that I had understood there was a kiosk at the airport to call for the shuttle van. If there is, I never found it. I did eventually find an information desk attendant who made the call. The hotel van was out of service but the hotel paid for the taxi, something I much appreciated as, on the point of leaving the country, I did not have enough euros and didn't want to get any more. This was a good option for those having early morning flights and limited budgets.
“Good value for what it is...”
My husband and I stayed here on the last night of our honeymoon because it was close to the airport. Getting there was a little tricky from Dublin center probably because it was rush hour & we took the longest way to get there. Once we arrived, we found the highway route to the hotel was right around the corner & we took that to get to the airport the next morning. This only took about 10-15 minutes. So we probably took the wrong road or something in order to find the place. But one should expect this when traveling in Dublin. The road system there is not easily navigated. The road signs are difficult to find & once you do, they may not be readable. But back to the hotel: we arrived, parked & were immediately concerned with the quality of the neighborhood. It seemed a bit shady. But once inside the hotel, it was very clean and hospitable. The overall feel was modern with minimalistic decor. The room was clean & had one of the more comfortable beds we'd experienced in Ireland. The bathroom had a few glitches though. The toilet was crooked. It looked like someone had broken it off at one point & caulked it back on crooked. So you kind of slid off it if you weren't careful. The shower was great-one of the best we encountered in our travels. Appropriate water pressure, lots of hot water & very clean. The bathroom itself had a weird smell but that could be attributed to whatever cleaners they were using. Overall: cheap, clean, not bad for what it is.
“Not too shabby, not shabby at all”
It was pretty good! Nice room, nice furniture, really small showers (it's a Euro thing), the TV was a bit wack, but it still showed the picture well, and the beautiful free flowing wireless internet. Again, it was included in the package - for that, I am so grateful. They provided a shuttle and the staff is sweet. Honestly, it's not a resort hotel, but it was a great value and I would recommend anyone to go there, it was JUST FINE! bus was close by, and I was easily able to get downtown Dublin.
“Good place to lay your head in Dublin”
This hotel was convenient to the airport and City Centre/Temple bar area. The taxi from Dublin Terminal 2 to the hotel front door was affordable. The hotel staff was warm and welcoming and extremely helpful. When we were looking to go into the Temple Bar area, the receptionist provided us with a map, instructions, and fare information regarding the use of public transportation. I would say that this is the perfect place to lay your head for a night or two in Dublin.
“NO free shuttle”
It was very disappointing that I was charged for the shuttle when the only reason I chose this hotel was because the site said FREE SHUTTLE TO AND FROM AIRPORT . I was charged at the desk saying it was not included. It didn't matter how much it was, I felt it was false advertising and a rip off.
“Excellent value on Expedia rates”
