“Cozy Hotel”
The hotel is located in a very nice area. It is quite and comfy. Very nice staff, very helpful. I enjoyed my stay here very much. Wonderful room, a little small but very nice.
“What a neat hotel find!”
This hotel was such a nice place to stay in a very pretty part of Dublin. We walked to dinner and felt very safe. The room we had was up to date, clean, quiet and we really appreciated the secure parking. It was a little bit hard to find for us as the street signs and numbers are so different than in the states, but that is certainly not the hotels fault. Just have a map and good directions before you head into Dublin and you will be fine. It was like a little oasis in the middle of a month long journey. The staff gave us excellent directions to find the ferry port for our trip back to Wales. Thank You.
“charming, great location, very friendly staff”
we stayed at roxford for three nights. it was so lovely, the staff was exceptionally friendly. brought afternoon tea up to the room, accommodated early check-in and any needs along the way. great location, easy walk to all you want to do in dublin.
“Comfortable & relaxing”
While the rooms were small as compared to American standards, the hotel was clean, the staff friendly and attentive, and the breakfasts were awesome. I would stay here again.
“A gem close to the heart of Dublin”
What a great discovery! This hotel is one of those places you hope to stumble upon: a nice, friendly place that combines elegance, good location, at a reasonable price. You are welcomed with complimentary tea or coffee, you get hassle-free wifi, and what is quite incredible is that you can have a jacuzzi and a sauna right inside your own room. Only down sides I could see: rooms are quite small, and there might be a need for a better restaurant kitchen extractor. Overall I was delighted by this discovery, and I highly recommend it for it's great overall value.
“Clean and Accommodating”
We stayed there twice. On our first arrival the room was quite small for three people. Since we only stayed for two nights, it was bearable. The room was clean and the hosts were friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were wonderful. Plenty of on-site parking. Easy walking distance to downtown. On our second return, we were upgraded without requesting it. To our pleasant surprise, we stayed in their penthouse room, which actually was an apartment. Very comfortable for long term stays. Sadly for us, we were staying for only one night. We arrived by taxi from the airport. It was a tight fit with all our luggage and three people in a small car with small trunk space. However, the driver was pleasant and even set-up a taxi van to take us to the airport the next morning. That driver was pleasant as well and full of information. He made a wonderful tour guide for our ride from the hotel to the airport.
“Wonderful stay -- wish we could have stayed longer”
It was the perfect room for the 4 of us - a double with 2 twin beds. The beds were comfortable and the room was beautiful. I think it was converted from a luxry home - the detail in the ceiling and crown moulding was spectacular. The room included a sauna, which we didn't have the time to try. The room was small, but very clean and the staff was very helpful. Since we had a rental car, it was great that it had a locked car lot behind the hotel. We were able to walk to Dublin city center - long walk, but doable. It was a great price, even with the added price of breakfast.
“Looking forward to our next stay”
We had the economy room, which is a little small but not a problem for what we wanted. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi bath and mini spa were nice touches. Both the continental and cooked breakfasts were lovely with lots of choice. The hotel location was great, with a bus stop literally just at the bottom of the steps to the hotel. It was just a ten minute walk to Roly's Bistro and also a selection of other restaurants, pubs and shops. We definitely want to come and stay again on our return to Dublin.
“Highly recommended for comfortable and homely stay”
We stayed at the Roxford Lodge over St Patrick's weekend. The welcome was warm, we arrived early but our room was already available to us. It was well equipped, clean and quiet. Complimentary tea and coffee was offered every time we came back from a trip out. The dining room was perfect for breakfast. The service was excellent, as was all the food and drink provided. The hotel is situated a walk from the city centre but easily achieved in 15 minutes. Buses and trains serve the area for those less willing or able.
“great stay”
Beautiful room, tea served to us on our arrival which was lovely having just had a long haul flight. Sauna and spa in room were fun for teenagers. Great breakfast, service was very good, able to cater to special diet requests with no fuss.
