“Great little hotel”
This hotel was basically perfect. The rooms were nice and clean, the front desk staff we great, the breakfast was tasty, and free Internet in your room. All good stuff. It was also a really easy walk to all of the major tourist spots. Great hotel!
“good value for the price!”
This hotel is a short walk to O'Connell Street and the center of town. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are reasonably priced and the food is good. Our only complaint was that the room key demagnetized on several occasions and we had to keep going back to the desk to have the room code re-entered. We would go back!
“Great value”
Pretty good location near the upper end of O'Connell St. Some decent restaurants and shopping a short walk away. Near the tourist and airpot buses.
“Served our purposes very well”
Ticked all the boxes. Nothing outstanding, just a clean reasonable sized room with king sized bed. No view. Easy walking distance to O'Connell Street.
“Contemporary beautiful hotel.”
Hotel was very nice. I wish they would have let us check in early when we arrived from our flight 4 hours early. Dublin was kind of over-whelming when we first arrived, so it would've been nice to be able to get settled...but it is what it is. There is not really any food NEARBY...maybe a 5-10 minute walk away. We had missed the food time at our hotel a couple of nights, but there was a really cool waiter that tried to help get us something. Waitstaff was awesome! We tried to get pizza across the street once, but didn't have cash on us...they only take credit, fyi. The hotel's breakfast is awesome and is a pretty good deal. Just make sure to book it the night before so it's a few euro cheaper per meal. We stayed here 8 nights and would stay here again. Our only mistake was staying at one place the whole time. It would have been nice to stay 2 nights in maybe 4 different towns...like Bray and Howth and Doolin...:) Next time though! This was our first trip over-seas. :) The staff was nice, and helped us when they could. They printed up train and bus time-lines for us too.
“Great choice for a visit to Dublin”
After staying in an old, small room in Paris, my husband and I thought that would be the condition of all the hotels we stayed in throughout Europe. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel. The room was sized like a U.S. hotel, not cramped and small like others we've stayed at or read about. It was also very clean and modern. Customer service was great, and they had a luggage closet, which is important if you arrive in Dublin before check-in time, which we did. If I recall correctly, I believe the free wireless is only in the lobby and not the rooms, but we weren't there to just sit in the hotel and surf the internet. The room had a clothes closet, tea maker, and TV. Just be aware that to use the lights in the room or keep them on, there is a slot near the light switch for your room key. Maybe that's common in Europe, but I had never seen it before. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to O'Connell Street. All of the main attractions in Dublin are within walking distance, except for Kilmainham Gaol. Make sure you have exact change for the buses. Dublin is a very walkable, compact city. We never used their LUAS, and the only time we used the bus was for the Gaol, to get into the city from the Port, and to get to the airport.
“Will definitely stay here next time we go to Dublin!”
This hotel is the place to stay! It is close to the bus lines, so getting to anywhere in Dublin is not a problem. After traveling around Europe staying in hotels that were not nearly as nice and double the price, the Maldron Hotel was a nice surprise. Our room was very clean and spacious, and all the hotel staff was very polite. Also, if you stay in this hotel and want to drink at a good bar with some friendly locals, check out the Findlater....only a couple blocks away...... Enjoy!
“Great location.”
Like the location. Loved the park across the street. I was within walking distance to many bus locations and O'Connell Street.
“Nice choice if you don't want to be near Temple Bar”
Comfy beds, quiet hotel and location. There is a pub across the street and down O'Connell but not much in the area at night. If you want a quiet location near sights, this is a great place to stay. Wireless worked well. If you want to be in a more lively neighborhood at night, then this is not the hotel for you. Good value for the money.
“Close to city centre location”
Good clean reasonable priced hotel If you wish to splurge on a great dinner try chapter one restaurant around the corner, this hotel is close to o connell street .
