“Excellent location and great service”
Staff could not have been any more welcoming or pleasant. The location was great walking distance one way to RDS and the other way to Merrion Square. Very handy for marathon! Great pubs (Searson's) and a few restaurants just on the doorstep with more selection a short walk away nearer the RDS.

“Very friendly, helpful Hotel Staff”
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel is in a great location between the City and southern suburbs and Bay.
“Expensive Internet”
They charge a lot for wireless internet, but they do provide a free hotel computer, but it's really slow. Hotel on the outskirts of the main part, about a 15 minute walk. Service was really good, bed was comfortable, but a single room was maybe the smallest I've stayed in inn Europe.

Good, Clean Hotel with friendly helpful staff. Hotel is approx 15/20 min stroll away from Dublin City Centre.
“Good quality affordable hotel in Dublin”
Situated in a smart area of Dublin about 20 minutes walk from the city centre, this is an excellent affordable place to stay for your trip to Dublin. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are helpful. There is a quiet pub underneath the hotel which offers an excellent place for a nightcap before bed; it also offers food all day. The walk into the city centre is literally turn left out of the hotel and keep walking, so the hotel is very conveniently located. The walk in to the city can become a drag after a while, but I found it hard to find a better priced hotel nearer to the city centre than this.

“A nice homey place in Ballsbridge”
There is nothing flashy about the Lansdowne, which makes it an enjoyable place to stay in the Ballsbridge neighborhood. You will want to check the schedule for any activities at nearby Aviva Stadium (especially Leinster Football) the night you are planinng on staying as the Lansdowne becomes quite the center for activity on those nights. Surprisingly, considering the revelry that was taking place in the parking lot after the match our rooms were remarkably well insulated from the noise and we were able to sleep fairly well. Parking is a bit problematic...the lot is not very large to begin with, and when an event is booked in their lot you cannot park their OR on Pembroke. Whatever you do, do NOT assume the adjacent lot is part of their property...the occupant clearly has both anger and mental issues! Parking around the corner is annoying at best when you can even find it! The hotel is within close (and very scenic!) walking distance of several main bus lines, a multitude of shops, stores and pubs. On the whole it was an enjoyable stay in a charming neighborhood. Avoid one very cranky neighbor and you will have an enjoyable stay as well!
“Good standard of hotel”
We spent two nights in the Landsdown and were impressed with the friendly staff. Unlike most other Dublin hotels of a similar size where the staff are purely trained foreign students, the staff here were courteous, professional and friendly. The downstairs bar - The Den - is a great place to hang out, have a meal or just meet up with friends.
