“Nice little hotel”
Cassidy's is a nice little place to stay with very helpful staff. It is not a luxury hotel. It gives you the basics. It is clean and the beds were comfortable. The rooms are small and they have an electric kettle for tea or instant coffee. There is a nice bar on the first floor and a nice room for breakfast in the morning. It is also close to the aircoach bus stop for the airport.
“Great location, decent hotel”
I stayed here two separate times in 2 weeks. My first stay was disappointing. My room was in the "executive suite" which was accessed by taking the elevator to the basement and walking a long distance then taking an elevator back up. The room overlooked the back of the building which was very noisy. The plumbing made noises all night and the bed and pillows were very hard. The breakfast was terrible. My second stay was in the main building and was much better but still not great. There was less noise and the bed was very comfortable. The shower faucet wouldn't turn on all the way and there was mold on the walls above the shower. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel in general needs a lot of updating. Not a terrible place to stay but not the best if you are a light sleeper like me.
“Fantastic Hotel Run By Top Notch People”
My wife and I stayed at Cassidy's on our first trip to Dublin and couldn't have been happier. The location is ideal for walking everywhere in the Dublin City Centre. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are compact, but it's in a destination city in Europe so that shouldn't be a surprise. The Air Coach from Dublin International drops you off about 2 blocks away, so provided you can roll your luggage a few blocks, it's incredibly convenient. If we return to Dublin, I wouldn't think twice about staying here, but would request a room that look out to O'Connell street.
“great location”
The price is right for the location. Close to bus stops, shopping, restaurants, and more. Very clean. Supportive staff. One of our party became very ill after eating in the restaurant. I would stay here again, but I would not eat in the restaurant.
“a hidden gem in the heart of dublin- just like they say!”
we ordered 2 rooms one room had room the other did not, i was cramped in one room with my sister we didn't have room to move around, our luggage took up all walking space in the room (so always request 2 twin beds because one double means a lot less space- the 2 twins room that was ordered was a double and twin in it they had plenty of space but they did have a problem with a bar nearby being too loud which we didn't hear at all that was only on one night of the whole week) but the hotel was quaint and charming and the staff was superior they did everything you could think of! we had no problems with anything else! it was in a good area on parnell square and they had a nice luxury bus to the airport! And it's corny but they always said good night to you when you ordered a wake up call it was charming! I would definitely stay again!
“Great place to stay.”
A great place to stay. Centrally located in downtown Dublin. Exceptionally nice staff. The room was quite nice and confortable. The bathroom was great. This is the place to stay if you are walking or use public transportation to get around Dublin.
“Great place, but the worst beds”
We stayed at Cassidys for two weeks solid for our honeymoon. The location was fantastic - Close to buses, walking distance to shopping, eating, and the pubs. Only note we have on that, is don't get a room on the alley, they have a non-stop parade of drunks and garbage trucks all night! The staff were friendly and helpful, the in-house food was wonderful, if on the pricey side. The only real complaint we had was the bed. It was horrible! Not one single night did we get a sound nights sleep, and every morning the back pain was excruciating, especially for my poor husband. So that was the big bummer of our honeymoon. Our bed was so soft and lumpy the ...sleeping... was not great.
“Great hotel, great location and very good rate!”
The hotel was just great! It is in the main street of Dublin, close to everything and the shuttle from airport drop you one street away from the hotel. The staff is so friendly and nice. The room was so clean and comfortable. Food at the restaurant was also great! The only thing is that if you need to travel early in the morning be careful when you wait for the airport shuttle, since there are many bars around, there are many drinkers outside in the very early morning (3-4 am) and if you are woman traveling alone could be a little bit scary. Even though police is around.
“Great location. Great deal.”
We spent only one night in Dublin and Cassidys was in a great location. There is no need for a car . You can walk to see most attractions. It's just a few blocks from Trinity College and many sites. There is a small car park, but you'll need to reserve a spot early. The staff was helpful and friendly. It is on a busy street with lots of things to see. Buses are plentiful if you need them. The hotel was old but very well maintained and clean. A great deal! I will stay there on my next trip.
