“Extremely friendly, attentive service”

This hotel doesn't have as many services as Dubai's bigger hotel/resorts, but there is a courtesy car to the nearby airport Meridien, which has pools, spa, big fitness center (you get a voucher to use all of its hotel facilities), and many restaurants. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is absolutely outstanding, going far out of their way to help - in my case, Joseph from the front desk very kindly shepherded through a package pickup on a holiday and emailed me the airway bill afterward. None of the impersonal feel you get at bigger hotels.

“Pleasant Surprise”

Very convenient. Near airport and metro stop, so you can get to and from the airport quickly and easily take the metro to the financial center or other points of interest. My room was large, nicely decorated and quiet, even though it faced a busy street. Staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed there because my usual hotel was booked, but I plan to stay there again.

Getting around

Use the Metro whenever possible. Its convenient, fast, reliable, safe and inexpensive.

“very good value”

Management and employees are very nice. The area seems at first not to attractive from a tourist stand point but the Irish village and the Le Meridien Airport Village are close. Short, inexpensive trip with cab to downtown.Good business hotel, very quiet and the bonus is you can use the great pools at Le Meridien Airport Hotel for free where there is more turist feel.

“Traveler's hidden secret”

I have stayed at 3 hotels in Dubai, and this is the best. I have stayed here 5 times and plan to come back. I use it to pass thru on work, so I stay a few days to relax and shop. The location is a bit off the beaten path but a short taxi ride will get you anywhere, including the airport. The Irish Village is walking distance, and the interantional tennis club is next door tp it. Rates were extremely low compared to other hotels based on time of year. Recommend going to Le Meridien hotel (sister hotel) for the outdoor evening buffet and band (drinks are free there --all inclusive in one price of 205 Dh). The Fairway is just a great deal.

“Great Place for the Price ,Walk to Metro Station $4.00 per day to ride.”

The Hotel is older and one of the resturants was closed. No Problem. Lots of nice places to eat. My room was large and the off season price was great. You can walk to Metro and for a few bucks you can ride all day. The green line should be open in November of 2011 and that will give you more places to go for less money. The staff was great. Very helpful with information. I ate at the resturants next door and they were great to just OK. I don't want a view and didn't get one. It's hot there and you need to keep the shades closed. A crack in the sink and one on the tile floor doesn't bother me. The bed ( king size) was so good I slept ten hours the first night. I will stay here again but will check prices for all rooms in Dubai long before I travel. I've already booked for November, 90 days early and saved many dollars. So if your not trying to impress your friends with how much money you can spend try this place. Book in advance. The four days I was there cost what you would pay for a high dollar hotel for one night. Good Luck and Spend some time Looking. It was Worth It.

Area recommendations

Get on the Metro. You can travel from one end of town to the other all day for less then a cab ride. The Creek area is good and you can ride an Abra across all day for less then the cost of a hamburger. Save where you can and you can stay longer.

When to go

I had to go durning Ramadan in August. It's HOT and your ask not to drink or eat when the sun is up. That's the bad news. The good news is that after the sun goes down the Iftar feast put out by some resturants is great. It seem like what ever you you want to eat you can find a deal. Like two for one Pizza. So go in December, January, February will be the coolest. Cost for rooms will be higher.

Getting there

Check all airlines. Call the Airline direct for best prices. Some will beat any price you find online.

Getting around

Metro pass. That's the way to go. The Taxi service is good but they will drive you the long way more times then not. Have small bills. They will say they have no change. Round up for the tip.

What to pack

Long sleave white shirts and loose pants for the Guys. Long white dresses and long sleave tops for the Girls. Bring extra or you can deal with the shop owners for a good price on lightweight items. The malls prices are about 50% higher then prices in the US so bring things that can be washed out in the sink and dried in the room. Laundry service will cost almost as much as replacement for teeshirts and socks. For the cold months Dec, Jan, Feb a sweatshirt with hood or a sweater for the Gals. It doesn't get that cold in Dubai.

“Excellent Service & Extremely Convenient Price”

This hotel has large and well furnished rooms. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu needs some upgrading, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel is conveniently located near Dubai international airport and Deira City Center. Sheikh Zayed Road is only a few minutes away by car, and with a rented car one could reach anywhere in Dubai in less than 20 minutes. We (me, my wife, and our kids) were given two spacious rooms, and the check-in staff made sure the rooms were adjacent. As i said, rooms quality was superb and we were glad to have made this choice. I will definitely come back to this hotel next time i visit Dubai. My only comment is for the hotel mgmt to consider adding Al Jazeera & Al Arabiya to the TV's channel list.
