Drake Bay is a small bay on the northern end of the Osa Peninsula. Originally discovered by Sir Francis Drake in 1597, the bay was, until recently, only accessible by sea. There are a handful of lodges and cabins in the area. The bay is primarily a gateway to Corcovado National Park, which takes up a third of the peninsula and is composed of pristine tropical rainforest.
