Enjoyed every minute, loved the breakfasts in the restaurant, the pool, and staff were lovely and helpful. So central and the men in the tour office at the back were fabulous. Would return and recommend to everyone.

Great location. Helpful and friendly staff. Close to shops and sightseeing and Mindil markets. Local bus across the road. Bus fares very cheap.

Hotel is very close to the city which was very convenient but which also mean there was lot of noises from the street at night time. I would definitely recomnend this hotel for the location though.

Lovely resort at quiet end of town, we enjoyed our balcony overlooking the bush!

The location of this hotel is the best in town, right in the middle. Everything (shopping and sightseeing) is in easy walking distance. Staff are great and really helpful and the rooms comfortable and clean. We would be really happy to stay here again.

Our experience was great - would recommed to friends and definitely stay again. Would recommend staying in a delux rock view room if you want to splurge a little as the view of Uluru cannot be beaten!

Stayed for three nights with our sunset wedding on the second night and Sounds of Silence dinner on the third night. One of the best holidays we have ever had in a very special place. The culture and the silence of the place is amazing. We would like to thank the Anangu people for sharing their country with us. Sails in the Desert has recently been refurbished and rebranded using spectacular indigenous art. The food is absolutely outstanding and the room was just beautiful with a big, luxurious bed and bath tub. Spent time by the pool surrounded by an oasis of grass, flowers and native bush. Visited the spa which was a real treat. Hired a car and visited Uluru and Kata Tjuta over two days. Sails in the Desert is definitely the best accommodation in the Ayers Rock Resort complex. If you want to get married at Uluru, organise your wedding through the Aboriginal Land Corporation's travel agency - Voyagers - they will do everything for you and the cost of your wedding will go towards supporting indigenous development and training. Ayers Rock Resort also has a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, supporting the local Mutitjulu community and aiming for 50 per cent indigenous employment by 2018. We encourage everyone to visit. It will be one of the best trips of your life and you'll be supporting indigenous Australia. Just don't climb Uluru. It's very dangerous and it's against Aboriginal Law.
