"Well done Ellison hotel! Wonderful staff. I've been to numerous hotels and have never seen one where everyone was so kind, attentive and welcoming. In addition, excellent rooms and facilities, great food (e.g., best seafood chowder I've ever had) and central location with all shops within short walking distance. Though I was on a business trip, I had time to admire some of the beauty of Co. Mayo and fell in love with it. "

"The Wyatt is in a great location - in the middle of the town with great access to shopping, dining and more. Room was nice and roomy. The non-slip shower mat had some mold on it and when I saw it I left it unrolled thinking the maid would change it for a clean one. It was not changed out so I mentioned it to reception on our way out to dinner. "The room and the staff were excellent. They could have used AC on the hot days, but we survived. Joe at the bar at night and Amy in the kitchen for breakfast went above and beyond. We will stay again on our return to Ireland Thanks. Harry and Maureen "

"Very short staffed massive waiting time for bar food. Gave up and left went down the town for food. Some of the dishes at the breakfast were not clean and the plates for the toast etc were all still wet."

"When I arrived, the television did not work it took a little bit for the manager to come to figure it out and when I was leaving it still didn't work it only worked for a short period of time. Also, I was supposed to have breakfast at 7 AM today I was checking out and I got down at 7:12 and they weren't set up yet. . Hotel it was all bit noisy with all the children. "Wonderful place in Westport. Christy and Margaret are wonderful hosts. Great place, nice room and a fantastic breakfast. Short walk into town-leave the car and walk into town as travel and parking in town can be nightmarish. Only negative, and this is not a deal breaker, is that the shower was a bit claustrophobic. Now I am six foot five so maybe not an issue for most people, but again, not major at all. Stay here-you won't be disappointed."
