"Nice hotel, room comfortable and restaurant/ bar food and drink very good and priced reasonably.few little gripes, when booking though a third party website it said parking was £6 per night, when I arrived I was charged £7.50 per night. Also double charged my account for our food and drink, removed eventually. But still was a live charge on my credit card for a week."

"The only real disappointment was our dinner. The food was tasty but it wasn’t as described on the menu-my seasonal veg was two spring onions, my tarragon jus was gravy and our children’s fish bites were just cheap fish fingers!! We were 2.5hours for two courses….it was very slow.
The hotel room was clean and the nature trail outside was lovely. The outside grounds were perfect for a stroll before dinner.
All the staff were welcoming. "
"Ventilation was poor, we had no access to go onto the balcony due to door being locked. There was no windows in the room. No source of natural air. Not sure why dogs were allowed in the restaurant and it wasn't not a guide dog. "
"We were booked for an overnight stay to enable a early morning start in Nottingham. This hotel used to be a favourite but has now become to corporate.
£8 to park overnight for one night while a guest of the hotel is just a hidden charge that should be included in the room rate.
Reception staff and manager showed appalling service.
Redeeming factor was an excellent breakfast."

"Lovely stay in this beautiful country house hotel. Even though there is currently some refurbishment work taking place, we had a great time. Friendly staff and a comfortable, clean and spacious room. "
