McCormick's Fish House and Bar - Daily seafood specials are served for lunch and dinner weekdays in the wood-paneled dining room. Saturday lunch is served in the adjacent lounge, a lively bar frequented by locals and businesspeople. McCormick's Sunday brunch is also popular.
The Cruise Room - This sophisticated bar opened to much hoopla the day after Prohibition was repealed, and was renovated in 1933 to resemble a lounge on RMS Queen Mary. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it remains a popular downtown institution. Genuine Art-Deco decor and wall panels depict light-hearted "toasts" from around the world. Open late, serving from a full bar and upscale pub menu.
Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana - Murals of the Italian countryside and wood panels decorate this restaurant, which serves lunch and dinner from a menu that highlights a different Italian town or region each month. Coffee, pastries, and sandwiches are offered each morning in the bakery.

“Great Old World Charm close to everything downtown”
Enjoy staying at the Oxford when my travels take me to Downtown Denver.
“The greatest experience!”
My husband and I were celebrating a BIG anniversary. They treated us like a King and Queen - a complimentary bottle of wine, rose petals on the floor leading up to and all over our (turned down) bed, chocolate, the Boze radio turned on softly to the loveliest of stations. The desk and wait staff were top notch, concerned only with our comfort.
“Stay away from the 2nd floor”
The hotel is very nice. Service was great. I got a room on the second floor with a window view of the street. It was very noisy because of the trucks passing by and the drunken folks walking by after a night at the local bar, and the 2nd floor is the conference /ballroom floor. I didn't get a good night sleep from the rowdy people trolling the hallways. Other than that the hotel was nice. Accommodations were very nice and the staff was very professional.
“Pleasant surprise”
We booked our stay through expedia and were surprised and impressed when we arrived at the Oxford. For the price, our room was very nice, bathroom was very large. Beautiful lobby, and great restaurant and bar in the same building.
“Will return”
Wonderful hotel with comfortable rooms and a staff that exceeds your expectations.
“A wonderful stay in Denver”
The staff at the Oxford Hotel are delightful and the accommodations are perfect-historic flavor with all the modern day comforts. This hotel is in the perfect location-walking distance to the Pepsi Center, so perfect for us being in town for a concert and so many wonderful restaurants just around the corner. We had an amazing breakfast at Mcormick and Smichs-right in the lobby of the hotel. We will be back.
“Great hotel option in Denver”
Great location that enables you to walk wherever or they have a complimentary town car which will take you within a reasonable vicinity. The people working were so friendly and did a great job of remembering who you were. I have stayed at a few nicer places in downtown Denver but the Oxford Hotel would be ranked my favorite to date.
“Oxford Hotel was great.”
Great location, staff and hotel.
“One of Denver's finest.”
Architecturally significant. Excellent location - in the heart of LoDo.
“All Flash, Little Substance”
We stayed for 7 nights, it was close to family and the road system . I probably would recommend it for a weekend stay, but not for any longer than that. This is, with no qualifiers, the most beautiful place I have ever stayed in 35 years of travel. Now comes the "BUT"... We arrived at 7PM, dry and tired from a long flight. We had bottled water but it was warm. We searched for ice but found none. When we asked the desk about the ice machine, we were told the owner didn't like the looks of them. Upon further questioning about how to obtain ice, we were told that he "supposed" he could have some sent from the bar, but everyone was very busy...did no one EVER ask for ice in the last 100 years? ( there is a mini bar with $8 bottles of water...you connect the dots) Next we realized there was only 1 bath towel for 2 people. I asked for 2 more and the desk pleasantly agreed to have them sent up. There was a knock and a scowling woman bellowed "WHADDAYAWANT?" I asked for towels and a man standing next to her presented them with a bow...as if I was a princess to want my own towel. WEIRD!! This was the precursor for the whole stay...drawers unuseable becuase the were full of 2 yr old phone books or huge plastic cases for tiny pillows ( OH GOD !! the pillows were miserable). There is no place to put anything in the unventilated bathroom. The armoire was full of hotel "stuff". The temp never cools below 75...and on and on.
