The representatives from Shore Winds gave us a room without a working kitchen when we specifically ordered a room with a kitchen (I believe it was about $20-40 more expensive). When we arrived we were shown three rooms that all smelled so bad that I would not have been able to stay (I have severe sensitivity to chemical smells). But, because my aging and disable mother had a migraine we could not search for any other accommodations. Then, we checked three rooms because I absolutely did not want to stay in these terribly ugly and smelly rooms. But my aged and disabled Mother had a migraine and could no longer stay awake, to search elsewhere. Little did I know that I would stay awake half of the night afraid to even put the covers over me because the bed bugs/ bacteria/ etc might attack.
We received a room that appeared to have been built in 1930, or so. The room's stove/ oven, bathroom faucet and tv were all not in good working order. The faucet in the bathroom did not have any hot water even after letting it run for over five minutes! The TV had a glitch where it would go black and soundless for a second or two and then come back on. The entire screen had multiple streaks (where the picture was missing) across the entire screen. It made it so miserable to watch that we turned the TV off altogether after only a half an hour.
