My wife and I spent our 24th anniversary there and they were so accommodating. The service was outstanding and everyone there was very helpful. The rooms were clean and they decorated our room for our anniversary. We definitely plan on staying there again the next time we are in New Smyrna Beach.

The Black Dolphin Inn was an unexpected treasure! From check-in to check-out, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. I’ve never been happier to give a review. What a unique place… you have to see it to believe it. The rooms were stunning and spacious. The decor throughout the inn was exquisite. The beds are luxurious and extremely comfortable. The homemade breakfast (there were 3 choices each morning) was incredible and filling! The staff is lovely. We stayed here during a wedding weekend and knew nothing about the town or area… we really lucked out when we found the Black Dolphin Inn!

Nice, large room with 2 comfortable king beds. Good breakfast as well. Located across from the river in a very nice neighborhood. The garden area is a bit small and can use some TLC. Overall a nice stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a unique hotel option.

The Black Dolphin is stylish and comfortable, the staff are helpful and kind. There was even a dolphin cavorting in the river out front at dusk, and a pelican fishing next morning.

For the price it was too noisy Walls are not insulated for sound I could hear the people next door talking and even snoring through the wall. Mattress is old and uncomfortable with definite depressions on both sides.

Me and my daughter came down for two nights for my nieces wedding. The property is super cute! Our room was absolutely adorable. Bed was super comfortable. Shower and spa tub was fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised that they offer to bring a complimentary breakfast to your room at the time of your choosing. The breakfast was so delicious! And there was a lot of food. Me and my daughter both saved the other half for the next morning- no need to be wasteful. Eggs, muffin, croissant, potatoes, fruit and OJ! The chef is amazing. The whole staff is so nice and accommodating. I definitely look forward to coming back. Too of my list of favs for sure!!!

My wife and I came here for a weekend away, it is a beautiful property and a great location. Our view was of the intercoastal water way from the balcony. It happened to be the night that the Christmas boat parade was going on, which made it even more beautiful for an evening on the balcony, and of course more expensive of a stay. It was very relaxing until Sunday morning when their landscaping maintenance crew showed up at 8am when our breakfast was brought to our room. This is advertised as a bed and breakfast with the highlight being having your breakfast delivered to your room and eating it on the balcony overlooking the water. Instead, as we started eating breakfast, the gardener started mowing the lawns throughout the property, but began in front where the rooms with balcony's were. In addition, they also used their blowers which kicks up dust, etc everywhere. Needless to say, what my wife and I thought was going to be a nice breakfast with a view turned into a quick retreat to the room. We ended up leaving our stay early just to get some peace and quiet elsewhere. It ruined the bed and breakfast feel. Breakfast is supposed to be the culmination of a wonderful weekend at a bed breakfast, but our stay didn't not end up that way. I don't understand why the landscaping would not be done after an 11am checkout, or at least after their last 9am delivery time for breakfast. I am surprised that out of all mornings to have the landscaping done, they choose the morning after the

A hidden gem. I spent my birthday there on Thanksgiving Day it was nice, and quiet. I sat in the courtyard that night it was chiily but comfortable. I did some journaling and relaxed. This is a great getaway for lovers or a single people like myself. You can't go wrong with this Inn the rooms are cozy and remind you of a home away from home.

We had a great week at the Black Dolphin and plan to return. The river view, the firepit, The super breakfasts, and large nicely decorated room with wet bar are just a few of the reasons. The other thing that made our stay special was the friendliness of the owners and staff. NSB is a laid back kind of place and the Dolphin is walkable into the downtown Canal area with restaurants and shops.

I stayed here as I was attending a wedding close by -several other wedding guests were there as well. I loved how each room was unique, staff were over the top helpful and the breakfast was delicious!! It was so relaxing to sit on the terrace and watch the dolphins swim by in the morning. It was a short walk to restaurants and shopping as well. I was driving an EV and they even offered a free charging station. I'd also flown in so having access to beach towels and chairs was a nice plus as well. I would DEFINITELY stay here again :) If you are on the fence, go ahead and book - you won't regret it!

Only a 3 minute drive to historic down town with shops and restaurants. Black Dolphin is located in a quiet neighborhood, so it great to be able to take a quick drive back from downtown to peace and quiet.

A+++ My new favorite in New Smyrna
Super cozy bed and breakfast. This place is a true gem. Riverfront manor with a superb owner Brett Smith. He was a wonderful host and master mind behind Black Dolphin. Comfortable and extremely clean room all 💯 renovated to todays standards with beautiful touches of original art, wood preservation from original structure, updated a/c, groovy bar with open kitchen. A very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was fabulous served with a smile . Wonderful plated Pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, pastry, fresh fruit bowl, and oj also tea or coffee!
