“Good hotel in Darmstadt”
It's a comfortable hotel. Location is good, the rooms are big and the breakfast is very nice. It's my third time at this hotel and I will come back.
“Maritim Rhein Main”
Hotel was easy to find, clean and the restaurant was exceptional. Parking was tight but I don't think it was any tighter than most hotels in Europe.
“Business hotel only”
We stayed at the Maritim Rhein-Main over the Easter Weekend to attend a wedding. As it was a very warm night when we arrived we set the air co on cool but this did not work. After mentioning this to reception we were told to just open the windows and the system would kick eventually. It didn't and the problem with that was the main train line that runs right outside. So you have an option, 1. Leave the windows open and stay awake as the goods trains roll by or 2. Close the windows gasping for air all night ! Apart from that the Hotel staff were all helpful and polite, the room was clean and in good order. If booking again I would check if the room is on the back or front of the Hotel to avoid the trains.
“Outdated hotel”
The hotel is more or less ok if you don't expect anything except having a place where you can sleep overnight. It is clean and they give you (a bit pricey) breakfast. The rest is just not that nice. It is in the middle of nowhere, so you have to take taxi/tram to the center. Especially because there're no reasonable restaurants around. The hotel itself needs refurbishing/re-design. Moreover one side of it is just next to the busy railway (and you don't want to have a room facing that side). Although nothing particularly bad happened to me there, I would stay somewhere else next time.
“Not going back”
I would find it hard to recommend this hotel for a duration greater than one night. Given that there is nothing in the area - you can go shopping at the train station if yo wish. The food was generally good but the lack of basic facilities in the room such as coffee making facilities is not good enough in my opinion. I have to go back to the area in the near future but will be staying in Frankfurt and driving in - it is only 20 minutes away by car.
“Not a 4 star”
No heat, no bars of soap, no wash cloths. The restaurant and parking is very overpriced. The main railway runs less than 50 feet behind the hotel, so if you have a room on the rear side you hear trains every 20 minutes.
