"Hotel and staff were great. They have a refrigerator to store your purchased cheese, there is no fridge in the rooms. It would be nice if they had travel size shampoo and conditioner. Our room, #5, has a nice view of the canal."

"Excellent hotel, beautifully located and with nice, smart rooms. However, mostly there was no hot/warm water in the bathroom sink. I mentioned this to the reception staff several times, but in my 5 days there hot water worked only on two (evening) occasions. The other thing was very rude chambermaid. On my final day she knocked my door at 09:25 and demanded I checked out. I mentioned that the check-out time was 12:00 and she preteneded she didn't understand, and still insisted I should vacate the room. I was about to anyway, but it was very unpleasant and it very mch spoiled the overall feeling of my stay in this hotel. Usually, when in Amsterdam, I stay at NH Caransa. And I will probably go there again. Theydon't kick you out of your room there."
