“Brilliant”
Not the best location, and some slightly substandard features for a 5 star hotel, eg plastic bath and no separate shower, ie shower in bath. But the hotel was extremely comfortable and the food was magnificent. Usually hotel food is either dreadful or frightfully expensive. We did not try the Orchids restaurant, but dinner in the bistro was absolutely delicious, good wines, excellent service. As good as I have had in a long time. Service too was excellent, although the garrulous, (kissed the Blarney Stone) concierge was a bit OTT. Overall we had a fantastic weekend in Ireland and the HAyfield Manor provided an excellent fulcrum to our stay. Thoroughly recommend.
“Nice place”
The hotel is quite charming. The staff is very nice and friendly, particularly Bart, the doorman, who will give you excellent directions and travel advice. The food was very good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The only downside is the location: it is at the edge of Cork, and not much is doing nearby. You have to travel to go to a less expensive restaurant than the hotel's; nothing is within walking distance.
“All good”
It had everything I needed and was very nice.
“The most fantastic haven of relaxation and comfort”
Words cannot do this hotel and their staff justice. The Hayfield Manor is warm with luxury and comfort flowing through it. Their staff have precious social skills which will entice you back again and make you wish that you didn't have to leave.
“Good Experience”
Stayed 4 nights - first stay (room only). Standard very high. Regretted not dining more, but expensive. Location near city center, but immediate area lacking in cafes, etc. Staff very attentive and helpful. Too quiet for some. Hiccups with access to internet on PC available to guests. Lovely pool.
“Perfect Irish Manor”
Excellent Manor House. Incredible service, style, setting is amazing, from start to finish a great place to stay and experience the comfort of Irelands hospitality.
“Beautiful Country Mano”
Beautiful country manor hotel. Staff were extremely accomodating.
“Massage was a 2; Everything else was a 10”
2 fabulous nights, dinners, breakfasts and staff were outstanding. Don't recommend a massage there. Also we had a hard to finding the hotel, but we found directions in all of Ireland a bit hard to follow :)
“Beautiful Hotel - Relaxing stay”
Hayfield Manor is a beautiful hotel and we would recommend this to all other visitors to Cork. We had a bit of nightmare journey from the airport as we struggled to find the hotel as the roads are not clearly signposted but once we found the hotel it was pure relaxation from our arrival. Made to feel welcome, beautiful room, extremely comfy bed, great bar, wonderful champagne and great food. Although Cork itself was a little disappointing the hotel more than made up for it.
“A step back in time.”
Hayfield Manor is a small Manor House located a few minutes from downtown Cork. From the minute we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The hotel is an elegant manor house with much of it's original charm, coupled with modern conveniences, including separate tub and shower, flat screen TV, tea and coffee service and fabulous bath products. There is also a full spa and an indoor swimming pool. The bar and restaurants were lovely and the service impeccable. The food was delicious. Try the eggs benedict at breakfast. Made from the freshest eggs, lovingly provided by happy hens. The beds and pillows were cozy and provided a warm cocoon for a great night's sleep.
