“Very impressed”
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in Oct 08. Located in a very handy position to shopping, restaurants, transport and attractions. We found the front receptionist to be a little scary and quite unfriendly but apart from that we were very happy with this choice.
“Good value and convenient”
Hotel Opera's location for tourists can't be beat. It is on the metro line to the airport and close to city center, access to tours, etc. The breakfast, although not include in the room rate, is a fine breakfast with exceptionally good coffee. Carpet in our room should be replaced as it is quite worn and is probably clean but because of the condition, it needs attention.
“Absolutely Excellent”
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and all speak perfect English. The hotel is in the centre and near to everywhere. The breakfast is amazing......clean and comfortable hotel - would recommend to anyone. Would love to go back very soon..........
“Copenhagen city break”
The Opera Hotel is wonderfully central, although a little tired in some areas. As a city break we just needed somewhere clean and safe to sleep and in that respect it was fine as far as we were concerned. Its central location is the biggest bonus just off Kongens Nytorv with its Metro station, 5 minutes walk with cases.
“Great location”
Hotel Opera is situated in a quiet location within walking distance of all of the sights. It is also just a few minutes from the metro which links to the airport. The reception staff were very helpful and nothing was tooo much trouble for them. The self service breakfast was good value and sets you up for the day. All in all an excellent hotel for the price within easy reach of everything in central Copenhagen.
“Great Hotel for a Copenhagen stay”
The Hotel Opera is in a brilliant location, right in the centre of the city, but in a very quiet sidestreet, which meant there was no disturbing noise. The room we had was quite small, but it was very competitively priced and comfortable. The hotel is quite traditional and the staff were great. Free wi-fi was a good bonus. The breakfast buffet was brilliant, but the seating area can be crowded at peak times.
“Nice staff, great location”
This location is close to some of the main sites in Copenhagen and easy to access with public transportation. The staff was always very helpful. I thought this hotel was a good value and I would definitely stay there again.
“Great place to explore Copenhagen from”
The Hotel Opera is wonderfully situated as a base from which to explore this beautiful city. It's 5 minutes from a Metro stop (which connects you directly to the airport), 5 minutes from Nyhavn, the waterside harbour lined with cafes, and next to the old Royal Theatre and steps from the new Playhouse and the ferry stop to the new Opera House. Fabulous breakfast buffet was a great deal (considering how expensive food is in Copenhagen). Easy to get to the trains from the Metro, and the Stroget (shopping street) is also right there with another set of food options. Hallways were a little stale, rooms are small, but my courtyard room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Free Wifi so I could keep in touch with folks stateside.
“Central to Everything in Copenhagen”
After an easy trip from the airport via subway and a two block walk to the hotel we arrived in time for a great buffet breakfast and stored our bags until our check in later in the afternoon. We were able to walk to everything from the hotel except the Opera House for which we used the ferry at the entrance to the nearby Nyhavn Canal to see a performance by the Royal Danish Ballet. Rooms are small and a little worn, but clean and comfortable. During the reservation process we upgraded to avoid the cheapest double with a narrower bed. Even though breakfast was about $20 each per day, we thought the selection and value worth the price to start each day of our trip. The receptionist(s) assisted us with numerous requests for information, car rental, dinner reservations, etc. On my second trip to Copenhagen I will definitely stay at the Hotel Opera again.
“Nice small hotel in great location in Copenhagen”
This small hotel offers the service and many of the amenities of larger hotels. Front desk is staffed 24 hours and all are friendly and helpful. Located near the Metro makes it very easy to get to and from the airport, and very near Nyhavn with restaurants. Easy walk to many of the area historic sights and shopping. Very comfortable and convenient place to stay.
